Of course! That's in the EO, too! All we need do is command all the wonderful things we want to appear and they shall do so! The inventions, the engineering, the finance, the work...all of that is a trifle. What's hard is decreeing it all into existence.

Electric cars are faster & far more configurable from a design perspective. They also get rid of some of the oily parts that wear and have to be replaced. That's why I like them.
Where they fall short for sure is sound. Nothing sounds like a V8.

Speed isn't the problem anyway. The problem is batteries. Nobody wants a car that has to be recharged every 100 miles, especially if recharging takes half an hour or more, and nobody wants to have to replace the battery every six months.
If Ford and GM "backed" this, they must have some major technological innovations in the works.

Sure.
HP, Torque, 1/4 mi and top speed are the metrics.
Production vehicles and motors....any and all mods go so long as it's still a production chassis and motor.
No 1 off's, experimental or purpose built race cars.
So no top fuel funny cars, salt flat missiles, open wheel cart racers or shop toys.
But the 6 second 3,300hp GTR's are a thing...... so are 278mph Koenigsegg's.

They really are. You get 100% torque from an electric motor at zero speed. That isn't the case for ICE's.

Records indicate....no, the absolute fastest cars out there tearing it up are still ICE's not EM's.

Yes, they're quicker and faster since an electric motor with 200hp will deliver the same 200hp that an ICE will, but with a very flat torque curve.
Now, good luck getting a 700hp motor into a car along with the batteries to run that monster.

In a 1:1 power curve comparison sure.
But I'm not talking about relative power delivery efficiency.
I'm talking about the fastest cars setting/holding records right now.....none of them are EC's.

From what I've seen on YouTube range is up to 200 miles and recharging points are available at malls and other locations.New improved batteries are in the works .
They are not good for long range travel without a lot of research on charging points but are fine for urban commuting .
