Have they solved the problems of limited range-before-recharging, and the amount of time it takes to recharge a battery, and the limited useful life of batteries?

Electric cars are faster & far more configurable from a design perspective. They also get rid of some of the oily parts that wear and have to be replaced. That's why I like them.
Where they fall short for sure is sound. Nothing sounds like a V8.
Since when were they faster???
LOL
I know you want to start one of your classic "moving the goalposts" debates, but they're boring. So, either state your criteria up front and be specific (e.g. torque, top speed), or don't and be dismissed. I'm good either way.![]()

They really are. You get 100% torque from an electric motor at zero speed. That isn't the case for ICE's.
No 1 off's, experimental or purpose built race cars...6 second 3,300hp GTR's are a thing...... so are 278mph Koenigsegg's...
Right, because those aren't "purpose built race cars".![]()
Before another bullshit argument commences, I'll just claim my victory now. Even the other Deplorable agrees with me, lol!
God King Biden has decreed it so!!!![]()
Speed is not the problem. We're talking about street cars, not race cars. Speed limits apply.
Histrionics and Clutching Pearls.
*nods*
Yes I understand they're fast and have their advantages.
But are they faster?
Records indicate....no, the absolute fastest cars out there tearing it up are still ICE's not EM's.
Yes, they're quicker and faster since an electric motor with 200hp will deliver the same 200hp that an ICE will, but with a very flat torque curve.
Now, good luck getting a 700hp motor into a car along with the batteries to run that monster.
How fast they go doesn't matter.
From what I've seen on YouTube range is up to 200 miles and recharging points are available at malls and other locations.New improved batteries are in the works .How are they going to solve the battery and charging problems?
