Categorization question

Hi everyone,

I had so much fun writing my first story that I'm already outlining my second in my head. It will be about a wife planning a very special evening for her husband that only involves sexual adventures between the two of them - nobody else.

My take on these categories is that "Loving Wives" is an ironic title, and that category is specifically for cheating/swinging wives and cuckold stories, etc. So this particular story would fit better into the "Erotic Couplings" category. Am I right? Or is there room in Loving Wives for a sincerely loving wife?

A few of my LW stories involved faithful wives, I see no problem with that.

The description they have for LW is "Married extra-marital fun: swinging, sharing & more"
I think the faithful wives stories could be considered as part of "& more" in the description.

I say go for it, there needs to be more stories in that section involving good wives who only act bad for their husbands.

room in Loving Wives for a sincerely loving wife? An erotic question in itself, madam. There is room for it in my head space, if the lady in question is sexually open to - shall we say - more diversity, erotic correspondence included, I suppose!

I personally think it would be better off in "Erotic Couplings." The LW category attracts a different sort of readership, and they might not accept the story for what it is.

As an experiment, I might try publishing the same story, with different names, in both categories, just to see what the reaction might be.

That would result in Laurel deleting one of them if she noticed it--and perhaps banning one of them for suspected theft as well as pulling her up into a hassle she doesn't need when/if readers reported a possible theft of work.

There are a smallish subset of LW stories that feature fun-and-games between a loving, faithful married couple. These stories, while perhaps not at the heart of the category, are generally well-received, especially if they take a unique or clever slant on their material.

If you want your story to be widely read, Loving Wives is the place to go.

I agree, not every story there is about a wife turning into a whore while the husband is forced to be a cuckold. There are some decent stories about faithful wives over there where the married couple are only enjoying each other's company.

That's what I have done in the past and would do it again with a story that didn't involve somoene else in the relationship.

Erotic Couplings can include anything so that’s not a bad idea.

Also don’t forget, there’s also Romance as an option, but maybe EC gets more views.

I'd suggest EC or Romance, even though I cordially avoid both: I find my stories get "lost" in EC, and I've never written in Romance. EC definitely gets views, but it also gets submissions; newer stories get buried quickly.

I agree with the posters who observe that LW really does have a self-selecting readership that tends to prefer a certain type of story, regardless of what the category is called or how it's described officially.
