Why do Republicans hate cops?

Republicans have become the party of violent thugs, voter intimidation, mass shootings, date rape, human trafficking, sexual assault, child molestation, insurrection, tax fraud, money laundering and vehicular manslaughter.

Cops are paid to arrest violent thugs, child molesters, money launderers etc. The Republicans don't want to stop breaking the law, but they also don't want to go to jail. Therefore, any decent, honest, law enforcement officer is their natural enemy.

Phro, IIRC, noted a few days ago that there were something like 1,2xx people charged. Given that there were around 540 riots last year, that comes out to a little more than two leftist rioters arrested per riot.

Now, how many Jan 6 protestors has the FBI hunted to the ends of the Earth? 600?

You and your ilk are the one claiming that people aren't being held accountable. I assumed you had sources which supported your claim.....but no?

There weren't 540 riots last year.

You're right, I was going from memory and recalled the wrong number. The real number is 574 riots.

The MCCA, which has members in 69 of the largest cities in the U.S., released the findings of their survey in October and compiled data from May 25 to July 31, 2020. In total, 8,700 protests took place in major American cities during that time period.

Of the 8,700 protests, 574 of them were riots that saw mass looting and destruction.

The Left is even more violent than I had recalled. Thanks for pushing me to get the right figure. Keep in mind that the number only goes to July 31, too so the nigly riots in Portland are not figured in this.

If that number bothers you, maybe you ought to take a hard look at the underlying causes. And don't forget, we now know a lot of the violence that did occur was at the hands of right-wing counterprotestors.

ACAB == All Cops Are Bastards

FTP== Fuck the Police

All standard slogans from last year's leftist riots. Number of lefties who had a problem with that at the time: 0.

I have no problem with people chanting whatever they want to chant, unless they're threatening violence (those chants don't)

Chants where they threaten to hurt police are more concerning to me.

They were threatening violence, they did initiate violence. They planned on doing so all along. They arrived prepared for violence, shields, gas masks, helmets, weapons, and combat organization.
