High heels

It works for me, but if not just type in a search for: "Is it illegal to drive barefoot?", and a number of sites and article shows up.

As for driving in high heels, it can be tricky, but my wife has and can certainly do so. The worst thing is, the spike heels gouges the matting by the gas pedal from doing so.

Not that I mind!

Agreed... If my Wife drove in her heels, I couldn't give a rat's ass if the car mats got a mashing... (especially when she's got red toe nails!)...

My wife wears high heels quite a bit, however whenever I was with her wen she did, I always drove, so no real pedal pumping for my eyes.

Se did work at a place where she wore high heels a lot, and would thus drive to work in them, but without me present.

Jason Heimbaugh did a study writing to all the Dept of Motor Vehicles and while many discouraged driving barefoot, it is not actually against the law in any state. A person could possibly be cited if they caused an accident and it was proven that bare feet contributed to the accident, but that would be a pretty rare instance.

That's so funny. He made a big deal about it but I always wondered why there was no fine attached to it. I always thought it was just him being nice to me because I told him I was broke and didn't have a job.

I guess he was just trying to scare me or something? :confused:

(it didn't work unfortunately - I still drive barefoot quite a bit!)

I heard about it when a co-worker said he was scrambling to put on his shoes while being stopped by the DOT. I thought maybe they had special rules for truck drivers so I looked into it, but that was not the case. There just is no specific laws against it.

I would not be surprised to see it being against the law soon to put your feet up on the dash though. My wife used to like to go barefoot and put her feet on the dash, a look I liked. But do a image search of that and you will see the horrific results of people getting into car accidents and how mangled their feet are afterwards, and I can see that being a finable offense in the future.
