Because sex change is physically impossible, contortions to language are necessary in order to sell the procedures. Preferred terms for attempting the change have evolved over the years. “Sex change” became “sex reassignment,” then “gender reassignment,” followed by “gender affirmation.”

The attempts to physically change gender and sex through “affirmative” surgery are in vain.

We can only change the image we project in public. The name for that public portrayal is “persona,” which Merriam-Webster defines as “a social facade or front that … reflects the role in life the individual is playing.”

We need to stop being “word puppets” parroting the inaccurate, harmful terms and tell people the truth: Gender and sex change is a fool’s errand.

Only after they mutilate their bodies do they realize they never changed the true problem and that is in having acceptance, not just on gender, but a broader scale on life in general.

This is backed up by suicide studies that show transgender people are 10 times more likely to commit suicide.

To me, we as a society should be more proactive and help them cope with acceptance rather then try and prevent suicides after the fact.

Let's start with, "What in the hell does that have to do with the OP?" Don't bother to answer, the question was rhetorical.

Approx. 50% of transgenders report/claim to have been assaulted at one time or another. That is a shockingly high number. One would be led to believe, and the trans community pushes the narrative, that 'straights' are out there hunting trans down for the joy of kicking their ass or killing them. The problem is is that just ain't so. If you go to the DOJ/FBI websites on the subject you find that the overwhelming majority of those assaults occur with intimate partners (domestic violence?) and/or while in jail/prison.

For the first part it's understandable that when emotionally high strung, mentally challenged people get together disputes can escalate to the point of violence quite quickly. As for the second part (jail/prison) you're not dealing with the highest level of society, are you? And don't bother trying to construe this as me making excuses for that behavior, I'm not. I'm merely pointing out the facts as they exist.
