I've got an idea of a cfnm story where a female police officer has to strip search a guy and then it goes from there.

Can any lawyers/ police etc advise me on what actually occurs during a strip search?
Are they extremely uncommon? On what grounds might a strip search be conducted?

I wouldn't worry about trying to be realistic. Focus more on making it erotic.

Maybe he is suspected of smuggling drugs up his ass. So he needs to not only be stripped and searched, but also fisted. Which of course stimulates his prostate and gives him a huge erection, which the female police officer cannot resist.....

Scope??

Neither lawyer nor cop but I doubt official strip-searches occur in public -- down at the station sure. But hey, this is LIT fantasyland, so she has him strip-down and "assume the position" openly, right at the arrest site. For fun, they do this every few days.

Well, first off, a female officer wouldn't strip search a male suspect or vise versa. It's against the law in all 50 states. And then there would be two officers present. And if there is going to be a cavity search, then a doctor or nurse will be called in to do that or the take the suspect to a hospital. There will always be more than one officer present at all times.

Strip searches are common if they suspect the suspect has hidden drugs on or other contraband about his or her person. A strip search just requires that the suspect remove their outer clothing so they can be searched more thoroughly. The clothing, not the person.

A cavity search is called for when they think the suspect may have hidden drugs inside themselves without swallowing them.

If they think they swallowed them then they go to the hospital for a CAT scan.

Thanks. My memory is being jogged of a "know your rights" kind of event I must have attended at school years ago. I think I'll base it on two female officers "bending" the rules a bit to search a male. With contraband suspected to be stored anally.....

I have a vague memory of a prison show where ia female inmate was made to squat down and cough?

I could imagine a few victims of a flasher. They must identify the penis in question from a line-up.

And since it was stiff at the time, a few WPOs must fluff the whole line-up. And keep them stiff.

Have it set in a locale where cops can get away with stuff like this without too much risk of repercussion.

Most of my stories are set in the fictitious city of Sierra Diabla, a Reno-esque city under the (financial) control of the sex industry, with a crooked police dept. that shuts down violent street crime, but tends to look the other way with anything vice-related.
