I really don't think he knows who Putin is
There is no doubt that Putin has crap on all kinds of swamp scum creatures that are in various political offices. Bidden has been so corrupt for years that there would be a lot on him. But even if Putin had nothing on Bidden it would not matter. Bidden is so dizzy that he really has no idea what is going on. But his handlers are corrupt and keep him under tight control.

Let us not forget that the "enemy" here is Russia -- not, say, the Democrats -- and the Russians have never advertised their control over Trump via propaganda or otherwise.
Trump always acted as if Putin owned him. On what basis must be speculative.
