I could offer up a laundry list of what we on the left do NOT like about Clinton (he stabbed us in the back on gays in the military, he was never on our side in the first place on gay marriage, he bungled health care reform so badly it took fifteen years just to retake the first step, etc.), but that's beside the point. But he did pass family and medical leave, he was a much better foreign policy leader than anyone expected, and he took the crucial first steps toward balancing the budget (and paid a dear political price for it).

Now, I can't speak for any of those 65% aside from myself, but I do know neither I nor my many friends who were also among the 65% ever praised him for his ethical behavior. We didn't believe he deserved to be impeached over a blowjob, but that doesn't mean we liked or approved of what he did. I never heard anyone say any such thing.
