Indeed, one phenomenon of tyrannies the world over is now a feature of the federal government: The melding of Party and State. DC votes, what?, 95-98% Democrat? In a very real sense, the President is not really in charge of the Executive.

Washingtonians have only intermittently had a vote in their own local government. Congress does not listen to them; they have no votes there.

You can't possibly be this obtuse.
If "DC votes, what?, 95-98% Democrat?" that fact has never had any effect on federal policy. Nor is it a reliable guide to the politics of federal civil servants, who are only a minority of the city's population, and most of whom are not even that -- they live in the 'burbs and do not vote in DC anyway.

That's why we've seen so many of Joe Biden's call transcripts with foreign leaders leaked up to now, eh? Why we've seen Hunter perp-walked for his multiple crimes?
If the Trump Admin leaked like a sieve, which it did, the leakers were not Democrats or Deep State operatives. Hunter is completely irrelevant; better to ask why Trump has not been perp-walked. And none of this would have anything to do with DC voting patterns.

Even Cuck Schemer noted that the IC would get back at Trump for his comments about them, and they did.
They are a tool of the Democrat Party. Not all...but most.
