Glad I helped you see the light. Yes, blacks don’t trust the government on these things, for good reason. Racism is part of our country’s past. It’s important that you understand that. Shame on you for calling them “deplorable.”
And yes, the vaccines came at warp speed. Emergency authorization was granted. I was willing to take the risk, you might have been willing as well. Others were not. I’m glad you now realize how foolish you were for criticizing those young, healthy people of all ethnicities, as well as the concentration among people of color who don’t think the very common unpleasant side effects or the rare, but very serious side effects are worth it. Today has been a teaching moment.
Thank you for acknowledging that white America's history of systemic racism is still negatively affecting black Americans today. The legacy effects of entrenched systemic racism permeate today's society and manifest themselves in the current disparities between races.
Fortunately decent Americans voted the racist misogynistic traitor in chief out of office so the work can continue on creating a more perfect union.
The 2016 election of the racist misogynistic traitor in chief, Charlottesville, the Capitol insurrection, and the increase in white supremacist activity, shows that the racists are still as big of a threat today as they were during all of America's deplorable white racist history.
Thank you for highlighting the issue.
