In yet another desperate effort to capitalize on unspeakable human tragedy, a top official in President Biden’s administration watched the heart-wrenching search for survivors in the Florida building collapse and thought to herself, “I can use this to push our agenda.”

About 150 innocent souls are still missing, most presumed dead beneath the crushed rubble. Before their bodies have even been located and recovered from the site, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm saw an opportunity.

The doomed building was on the beach. The seas are right there. Let’s use the tragedy, she thought, to push her crazy agenda to give the government unprecedented new wealth and powers in the name of “global warming!”

These people are sick beyond words. But it is how they play the game of politics.

She suggested climate change may have caused the collapse. That possibility should in fact be investigated.

It was bad construction and or damages followed by subsequent neglect of proper preventative maintenance checks and services.

Not god damn climate change....

The question is:

"Was this a genuine freak accident, or is someone responsible for this shit??"

I'm betting someone is responsible....and it ain't fuckin' climate change.

Climate change is a factor, especially in Florida, on a barrier island with a very high sea water table. You know nothing.and nothing if building,. construction and engineering.

.
Only a deplorable moron believes climate change had zero effect on the buildings collapse.

Exhibit A: C-706

Exhibit B: DumBoBo

Then if it was a changing climate and not shoddy design/construction,

Why aren't more buildings collapsing all over the place?

.
Great logic there "Champ".

It isn't an either or issue when considering climate change as a contributing factor in the buildings collapse.

JFC Deplorables are dumb.

Your thinking employs catastrophic all or nothing types of thinking.

Building design and maintenance all have aspects that include impacts from climate change...they vary from region to region and from micro climates to micro climates.

Overall, building wear and tear is accelerating across the US and globe.

Reinforced cement structures such as the Champlain building can see an an accelerated decay if water, especially salty water, is able to infiltrate the concrete. Remember, concrete is a porous material and water/salt water will dramatically accelerate rebar reinforcing deterioration, rusting and decay.

It seems as if this was the case at Champlain Towers. The extent to which each factor played a role is yet t be determined.and I can guarantee you they are all on the table.

This entire disaster has nothing to do with partisan politics except.tonthe extent that folks deny facts about the structure and what happened.

Record high temps in NW US, W Canada and Alaska. Wildfires, power outages, overwhelmed hospitals and emergency services, buckled roads, and hundreds dead.

Correct...so, in general what would be global warming impacts on buildings:

Dramatic and prolonged heat waves... buildings expand and contract like any other material.

Intense rain storms....building.wear and tear from above average weathering, oxidation(rust and rot), flooded ground floors and basements.

Above average or unexpected large snowfalls....building not designed for this can suffer collapses, ice damning and roof damage.

In Florida and particular to South Florida, street flooding as a now regular occurrence from high tide cycles. Salt water rapidly rusts vehicles and building infrastructure. Salt water contact with copper wiring created seriously dangerous risks of fire. Nice day street flooding has been a developing issue all along the coastal US and world for more than a decade. It has been getting worse, not better, and is a fact of life for just about all coastal communities.

Are we sure that Donald Trump isn't to blame? Better check with Zipman.

Salt air and water fucks shit up. Hence the inspections.

Yes, yes it is....someone is responsible.

There is an inspector, owner, corporation, manager....someone who fucked up bigly.

And it's not "climate Change".

With as hard as (D)'s are deflecting to it I wonder who the actual responsible party is.....Pelosi own this place or something???

100% correct. I'm sure you know this because you live near the ocean. All homeowners who live near the ocean know this and those if us in building and construction know this.

Bobo and BoBo wrongturd don't live near an ocean.
They don't live in reality either.

WillJ has to lie about absolutely everything.

Must be a Rob alt.

DumBoBo can't differentiate between responsibility for the collapse and contributing factors for the collapse.

DumBoBo is dumb.

You're still an idiot.

Shoddy construction................period.

Starting in the 70's through the 80's there was a condo construction boom. A lot of small politicians in small beach front and/or inland waterway communities were paid off by out of state/country grifter's trying to make a quick buck. Dade county planing/zoning and inspection were overwhelmed and a lot of short cuts were taken. Out of state contractors were brought in and more than a few were mob connected. The two reputable high rise contractors, Turchin and Arkin (whose buildings going back to the 40's still stand) were literally forced out of business.

The bedrock in that entire coastal area is easily accessible and stable. With proper foundation preparation and the use of required concrete mixes there is no environmental reason for any building to collapse.

*chuckle*

It's climate change!

Why aren't more buildings falling down then?

Sputter! Sputter! Sputter!
