Lets talk about our gardens, and the plants we keep. We can discuss the plant world- kinky and otherwise. Believe me, there are plants out there that will do 'whatever' to attract the opposite gender.

Also the cross pollination of information about gardening ideas, what to plant in your garden and how to look after them.

Share pics, ideas, questions, etc.

Ever hear of an erotic garden? A torture garden? - I Googled that one last night.

A thread after my own heart :)

It was hard to leave central Texas, with 7 ft high tomato plants and flourishing native plants, to move to the Ozarks, where I'm still unsure when the first safe day to plant is each year. At least my tulip game is on point!

Welcome, StacyLeigh:) Your tulips are gorgeous

If you could design your own kinky garden, what would it look like?

Perhaps I'd grow some dual purpose plants, such as bamboos, dogwood, and a wild area with nettles

A nice open area for some play and photos... maybe a swing?

Sweet juicy cherry trees, strawberries, peaches... I actually have all of those!

Maybe a good solid wall or fencing that you can tie more than just plants to.

A dark, secluded wooded area, with tall, strong trees, and if there's space, a natural swimming pool.

And moss, everywhere. I would love to lay naked on a soft bed of moss next to a cool river or pond.

What does your kinky garden look like? :D

I smoke my garden does that count

As far as the kinky garden, what about weeping willows? Their outer branches would have a certain, um, whippiness, I would imagine

So much struggle, so much fear
And anticipation for what is to come :)

Perfect for whipping a certain someone's very needy "bud"

I think my next home project will be doing up some gardening. I had a tomato plant at one point but bugs totally killed it. But I do want to give it another go.

Fun tomato fact:

Did you know the little hairs along the stem of a tomato are actually root hairs? They will form roots if buried in the soil. Because tomatoes don't like uneven moisture, and will get blossom end rot, it's recommended to plant deep so the roots stay... moist. :)

Beautiful picture. Thank you for sharing here!

I think every gardener knows that nothing ever goes exactly as planned, but what plants surprised you the most? Do you have any plants you thought were dead that seemingly resurrected? Do you have any plants you thought were doing well that suddenly died? Do you have a plant that did far better than you expected it to?

I had a beautiful white orchid that I thought I was doing everything right with until a few days ago the flowers turned black and the plant died. I've never had long term success with orchids, which makes me sad because they are so beautiful and I love having them around.

One of my favorite things is to find a nearly dead, on its last leg, neglected plant in the garden clearance center....bring it home, give it some love and watch it thrive. Most of the time, it seems, they just need a little attention and they pop 😊

I just planted lambs ear in a corner of one of my gardens. I'm sure I've seen it in the past, but have you ever felt it? It's sooooo soft. It blooms pink/purple flowers in long spindle like projections. I'll be sitting here petting my plants today, no big deal :D

Beautiful! It’s like a velvety blanket...

Hydrangeas yet lovely are so complicated to me. Some bloom on dead wood so you cannot cut them all the way back, some you need to cut back in order for them to bloom. Figuring out which species needs which approach has me throwing up my arms in defeat.

same with clematis. I guess that’s why it’s important to keep the plant tags or keep an identifying map of your garden. I did for a while but gave up.

My beefsteak tomatoes in pots are coming along nicely. I have to water them twice daily as they are getting southern exposure. Lots of yellow blossoms. I hope something is around to do the pollenating, even if it’s the wind.

By wind? That’s no fun

the only thing that is really growing in my garden is the lettuce (which is bolting now :/) and the peppers.
I went with ghost and thai...
I welcome all spiders, to get those grubs and beetles!
