The White House, Press Secretary Jen Psaki, and the liberal media are trying to convince the world that the Democrats didn't' want to defund the police despite defunding police in their cities, leading to an increase in lawlessness and crime.

The Left's voter base may be dumb enough to believe and repeat those lies, but the rest of America Voters aren't buying it. Lies like these will kill the Democratic Party in 2022 and 2024.

Let's hear how the Literotica Democrats attempt to spin this as well; they enjoy sounding stupid, so let's hear their voices on the matter.

Then why did Biden double the hiring budget for police and push states to use leftover Covid funds to bolster police staffing?

Honestly, you couldn't self-own more on this post

The question is, did Democrats vote to defund the police? The Answer is yes. Just look at Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, Oakland, Chicago, New York, Minneapolis, etc.

Lol....if you ignore the focus of this post and generalize and oversimplifiy efforts from local governments, then yes...you're correct.

Oakland cut about 20 million a week or so ago.

LA was like 150 million.

New York a billion.

Minneapolis cut 10 or so.

Can we get a list of senators and present presidents who called for defunding the police?

Another point, the federal contribution to police and corrections is miniscule compared to the total state output of funding for police and corrections budgeted, which in 2017 was a total of 198 billion. In 2019 the federal contribution to the states for the same expenditures was 264 million, or about .136%

Except, unlike you, I'm right all day.:D

So your argument is that the federal government doesn't normally fund police?

Not to any comparatively huge degree. In other words if the feds cut off all of their funding of police, you'd be talking about .136% of the total of state police budgets.

He doubled the budget to hire.cops.

He doubled the budget to hire.cops.

Probably useless, now that the list of people who want to become cops in Democrat cities has diminished into almost nothing. Democrats and the left have harmed, for the foreseeable future, the employment prospects of that profession, plus the security and economic outlook of those cities affected.

Lol....love this spin. Biden's doubling of the hiring budget doesn't disprove Biden is pushing to refund the police

Lmao....

People recognize it as a political stunt after a year and a half of news reporting on Democrats defunding, demoralizing, defaming, deactivating, deconstructing, and destroying, police departments all over the country. People understand there's an election coming, and that somewhere among the cobwebs in the corridors of Biden's dimming mind, a spark of instinct is telling him to attempt to mitigate the coming doom before it arrives unabated.

Show us where Biden said he was for defunding the police. Put up or shut up old man.

Did he double the hiring budget? (Hint: yes, he did)

Will it actually be used to hire more police, or create more propaganda? Does it come with federal hiring quotas, conditions, federal supervision?

Speculation is fun. It's almost not factual at all

Show us where Biden said he was for defunding the police. Put up or shut up old man.

First off where did I say he was for it? Secondly, now that you asked, he did say it:

''But earlier this month on liberal commentator Ady Barkan's podcast, Biden was asked if he supported defunding the police.

Barkan asked Biden: "[D]o we agree that we can redirect some of the [police] funding?"

Biden responded: "Yes, absolutely."

"Redirect" =/= "defund."
