Will anything come of this "Unidentified Aerial Phenomena" report?

There's a long piece in a recent New Yorker about this. What seems new is that there are some powerful politicians, scientists, and journalists who are interested and willing to talk about it. The truth is out there!

As Astronaut Chris Hadfield said recently, if intelligent beings had the ability to travel light years to and from outside the solar system to and from Earth, do you really think they'd spend all their time playing "see how fast we can go" games and not make actual contact?

Humans search for patterns in everything; it's how we try and make sense of the world.

Doesn't mean we're right about any of it, just that we look for patterns.

There's a video on youtube about how some science geek in the 1970's recreated the work of an early 1900's inventor who charged some special capacitors with super high voltages and got them to rotate a crossbar. It turns out the optimal shape for housing his discovery is an oval shaped vessel.

After the inventor's death, the US Government seized and confiscated his papers and apparatus. They're still classified to this day.

I don't know if it's true or not, but if so, then aerial phenomenon have a possible explanation other than "aliens!!!"

Very logical statement from a smart dude.

I have also heard it said that why would they do anything but observe, when to them it must look like an insane asylum where everyone is armed.

Could just be the best soap opera in the galaxy?

And homophobia's behind some of it, so to speak.

It's way easier for luk to say he was probed by an "alien".

that sounds interesting...I'll check it out. I'm a little wacko but I think first contact may be sooner that many suppose.

Listened to Travis Walton on Rogan recently. Pretty interesting and compelling.

the lizard people aka devils and demons , will be doing a public service announcement with the world leaders, all you vaccinated people were really just first in line to get seasoned for the big BBQ. Head to your bunkers early and wait for the fireworks.

Just because a pilot sees something funny doesn't mean it's aliens for fuck sake. Pilots have been seeing weird shit since the beginning of flight.

yawn...extreme skeptics and zealots are really two sides of the same coin.

What's more likely? An eartbound lifeform put into the high stress situation of extreme g-forces and heightened survival fight or flight instincts for extended amounts of time might have a mild hallucination or experience optical illusions or a lack of depth perception in gauging distance and speed without a frame of reference in the skies?

Or aliens?

So you're disregarding every other claim and experience other than pilots as well?

It is one of those things that likely has to be seen to really believe I suppose.

A level of skepticism is logical and healthy but completely ignoring seemingly obvious breadcrumb trails that lead somewhere seems a bit illogical.

Chemtrails are real, too I'm sure.

Look, i'm not a skeptic just for the sake of being a skeptic. When every kook for thousands of years blames unexplained events on gods and demons and aliens, it's a bit difficult to take any of them seriously.

Do I believe there is life in the universe. Yes.

Have they visited this planet? No. Why? Because astrophysics tells us that the sheer distance is insurmountable.

LOL...I am not a conspiracy guy usually...although some do turn out to have validity.

Chem trails is a great example of a very explainable scientific phenomenon.

Interestingly science believes it has all the answers until it's proven it does not.

There are a few great examples of phenomenon science cannot explain and they certainly don't understand truly much about the universe.

It's just theories and scientific laws until those laws are broken.

Perhaps there is a multi-dimensional travel mode we are 1000's of years from discovering.

Trusting science is wise but giving complete trust that they understand all potentials or capabilities in the universe is treating it like a religion more than a malleable understanding of things that is ALWAYS changing.

Why would ETs take all the trouble of traversing interstellar distances to get here and then hide from us?

If people used their brains...why would an alien race...that obviously is way ahead of us technologically..and has a far greater understanding of how things work...come and visit us? What do we have to offer that they don't already know or have?
