He has succeeded in making the party and all its voters look ridiculous, ignorant, dishonest, and in all ways deplorable. It will take decades for the GOP to live all that down. Anyone who still believes in the Republican agenda as it was understood in the Reagan days should hate him. Why does he still have so much support in the party?!

The GOP has done irreparable damage to itself.

They were losing - their myths about things like trickle-down economics had been exposed. So, they doubled down on the Southern Strategy and adopted a charismatic loon whom they knew could run with it.

It was an act of desperation and a deal with the devil. The fallout is here to stay.

Covid exposed them and their BS
if single payer is so bad .. how come the govt paid for covid treatments.. covid tests and vaccinations

Imagine if everyone had to fend for themselves being out of work .. that means no medical benefits..

And the first few months of covid all they cared about was the stock market

Trump, Trump, Trump, still occupies the limited space insides the walnut shell sized minds of the left. Thank you for letting us know there will never be another Republican elected to office in America. Now tell us how the Biden Crime Family enriches the future aspirations and goals of the Democrat Party.

Does this “irreparable damage” mean the GOP won’t win back the House, Senate, or both next year?

Take it from someone who lived through both Watergate (Republicans were back in charge 6 years later) and the world-historical clusterfuck of the Dubya administration (8 years): there is no such thing as "irreparable damage" in a 2-party system.

You should include Jimmy Carters 444 day disaster. The political climate always swings from one side to the other. Always has, always will.

Well, it sure ain't gonna help. Midterms usually favor the opposition party. This is a midterm the opposition party will for once have to work very hard to come anywhere close to winning. And, no, there is no way Trump could win in 2024, not if the Dems nominated Pee-Wee Herman.

That's my thought as well.

If you really believe he's a detriment, why do you give a shit if he brings disaster to the Republicans?

Because if he keeps insisting he won re-election and more than half the Pubs agree with him, that's everybody's problem.

That's bullshit, There's books and articles written about it in detail.

Cite them. Without using any zero-credibility source such as Newsmax, Breitbart, the Blaze, the Daily Caller, New York Post, Washington Times, etc., or any book published by the likes of Regnery.

Here's an article on the Biden Crime Family:

I'm sure the GOP gets a warm feeling knowing a pack of Leftist - some of whom spend their days writing love letters to Marx here - are looking out for their best interests.

Also hard for a party on the losing side of a presidential election to gain seats in Congress, and indeed the GOP lost seats in the Senate, yet actually gained seats in the House. They’re doing quite well in governorships and state legislatures.
