The real racists are those who insist on teaching CRT. The effort is entirely racist. CRT teaches our youth to judge others on the basis of their skin color, which is the definition of racism.

The country is not systemically racist. It wasn't built on slavery. Very few people in the South owned slaves and only a minute fraction of that number owned slaves in the North. Black people and American Indians owned and traded black slaves. The greatest expansion of the country and its industry occurred because of the Homestead Act and the migration of millions of Europeans into the country who blazed trails, laid down homesteads, businesses, towns, cities, and formed states. CRT is a lie and absent a totality of historical fact.

Well, we already combined Washington's and Lincoln's birthdays into a single "Presidents' Day."

I could get behind abolishing Columbus Day, which was not instituted to honor the achievements/crimes of Columbus, but only so Italian-Americans could have their own St. Patrick's Day.

Just a note, a slave that cost $1300 in 1859 would cost $42,000 in today's dollars. Kind of argues against to much mistreatment outside of having to exist within the terrible institution of slavery itself. Just sayin'. I mean, when's the last time you went out and paid $42,000 for something and brought it home to beat the holy shit out of it?
