Who's pulling Joe Manchin's strings?

Does Dark Money control a key Senator?

Sen. Joe Manchin, the West Virginia Democrat famous for his vow to maintain the Senate filibuster and thereby scuttle much of President Biden's agenda, recently published an op-ed opposing the For the People Act, Democrats' whopping voting-rights bill. That article strongly echoed talking points from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce — and appeared shortly after the influential pro-business lobby resumed donations to Manchin's campaign after nearly a decade.

I don't know about that, but I do feel he's holding efforts in the government too much.

It does seem oddly suspicious.

...

Have you ever been to West Virginia? Some of the women have teeth.

Maybe he doesn't want to help Venezuela the country.....awwwwww how sad for the left. :D

WVa voters pull his strings

He just plays ultra political because he has to.

Exactly.

He gets more power by staying D representing a now dark red state.

If he stayed "loyal to the party", which he never really was, he'd be beaten by 15 points by any random Republican in the next election.

It's easy to see...he's openly challenged those seeking to primary him..."bring it on"

Liberals just need to get over him

Leftist, Manchin is the only (D) being liberal in this situation. ;)

'liberal' has a meaning, and consolidating authority and power to bully your political rivals is not party of it, we have a different word for that.

As usual, your focus is pendantry rather than topic oriented. Way to maintain form.

Hard to discuss the topic when you're using words in the most incorrect way possible. ;)

Yea, because up is not down, peace is not war and power/authority grabs are not liberal.

:kiss::kiss:

You've openly stated that it's difficult to get over. I'm of the opinion that you should get over your OCD focus and instead refer to the high level discussion that you're injecting yourself into with your irrelevant points, but you do you, Sparky.

i.e.- those with interests on liberal policy are more likely the people to be frustrated by Manchin's political posturing

Again, discussion isn't possible if you're using the word up for down and the word peace to mean war and 2+2=racist etc.

Language and discussion ONLY works if we agree what words mean. Otherwise it's just jibberish.

Yes, you've made it clear that it isn't possible for you

It isn't possible for anyone.

Basic functioning principle of language. :) words without an agreed upon meaning, have no meaning.

You're just picking a fight. The word was used correctly. Either engage on the topic or continue your stupid rant. I've no further interest to continue down your rabbit hole. This is the reason why your input is rarely worth reading

The election-reform bill relates to Venezuela how?

Centralized control over the elections....one giant leap towards turning the USA into a unitary state run by simple majority democracy, institutionalize "might is right" mob rule.

It's a push for Democratic Socialism.....Venezuela style.

There certainly isn't anyone to the left of liberal in the DNC.

Sell that lie to someone who is unaware of all the DSA members and is buying your lies.

Cuz I'm not buying.

It does not mean what you keep saying it does.

Yes, it does.

Liberalism, political doctrine that takes protecting and enhancing the freedom of the individual to be the central problem of politics.
https://www.britannica.com/topic/liberalism

You and the other comrades can keep using it to describe point blank power grabs and centralizing authority and power all you like, but it's just another case of "up is down, peace is war and 2+2=racism" and you'll never convince me that your and nearly all (D)'eez advocacy for totalitarian control over EVERYTHING is what liberalism is....it's not.:kiss:
