It is time to have precise military strikes on Russia's infrastructure. When sources of ransomware attacks and other cyber attacks on our institutions are determined those locations need to be destroyed.

Oh great. That’s just what we need. The great powers in a hot war.

your BOI cancelled sanctions on the pipeline!

Zap em' with that Jewish space laser.

Seriously though, I would imagine that President Biden is being presented with proportional retaliatory options as we speak.

Russia is becoming the Afghanistan of cyber terrorists, and Putin's own corrupt regime has fostered that environment.

It's no wonder the traitor in chief admired Putin so much.

We are already in a "hot war" in case you haven't kept up with the news. Time to release the cyber troops. It does little good to shake a finger at Putin and company like an old-timey school marm while they laugh and keep right on keeping on. You can only say "don't do that" so many times before you HAVE to back it up with action.

Comshaw

Putin and the rest of our enemies have made the calculation that Biden and his team are weak and vulnerable in areas where a crippling response to their aggression would violate the limits of their ideological space. In the case of these hacks, they will respond with words and media attacks. Biden's present proposed cuts to military spending, traditional for Democrats, is a signal to our enemies he is not preparing for a meaningful military response to the provocations of the Russians in Ukraine, or the Chinese in the South China Sea. He's already rolling back constraints on China imposed by Trump. I believe Biden has been fully compromised by the Chinese Communist Party. They are holding their dealings with Hunter over his head.

A hot war is a shooting war. We are not in a hot war. This is a cold war. One we won before and one we can win again. By all means release the cyber troops. Don't forget America is still the 800 lb gorilla, especially economic wise. We can put the squeeze on Russia and include anybody who does business with them. Just keep it a cold war.

The best way to avoid war is to prepare for war. No country in the entire history of man has ever been attacked because they were to strong or prepared. Plenty have been attacked because they were to weak. I want the biggest strongest most advanced military in the world, and then never have to use it.

Democrats don't want that. They want a weaker military. They think the US military is the problem in the World, and because it's a construct of toxic white male masculinity it needs to be re-imagined...and they are busy at work doing so.

Yeah
But this is a cyber war
We and the rest of the world need to force Putin to punish his criminals
Unfortunately our world cred is crud
And... our country is full of Putin’s pawns run by his Chief Pawn
Strict constructionist constitution?? Yeah right!!

That is your interpretation of "a hot war". I call that a shooting war. My interpretation of hot war is when an opponent attacks us with the express purpose of doing harm without trying to hide it. A "cold war" is a hidden, under the table, bite you in the ass without being detected war. Putin and company aren't playing that game right now. We are in a hot war by my standard and we need to respond in kind.

Can they zap the retarded Easter egg in the post above yours?

We will have to do something similar and launch a cyber attack. A nuclear power will never attack another nuclear power. That's a war that no one will ever win.

.
Yeah, a cyber attack is definitely a "Hot War" action, and demands a proportional response in kind; i.e., a cyber disruption in Russia that impacts the Russian people's lives to the same extent as what Americans experienced due to the Russian attacks.

An actual kinetic response would be the military equivalent of building a big dumb wall along the entire southern border of the US.

Funny how Renard Ruse/Rightguide calls Putin one of "our enemies" when 1) he unconditionally supports a U.S. leader who was basically Putin's puppet, and 2) I've pretty much suspected he's a Russian internet troll this whole time. Whose the "We" here?

There would be no winners in a hot war with Russia. Only mutually assured destruction.

Your problem is you're unconditionally stupid. Trump was never Putin's puppet and you have to be a world class dope to say so. The Russian collusion narrative was totally debunked. Which makes you too ignorant to post on the subject. Trump was "basically" Putin's biggest pain in the ass. Trump fucked him like no other President. Trump all but wrecked his economy which was only the size of the Texas economy in the first place, you nit wit.

The thread title was military response to Russia. Military is tanks and ships and airplanes. Now you’re talking cyber war and proportional response. That’s not the military. That’s the alphabet agencies.

Not so. We have a United States Cyber Command which is a combatant command under the DOD. There are service components of this command under each of the Military branches.

Yeah, that's because everyone moved past the OP's unrealistic proposition and offered more likely responses to Russian cyber attacks on American infrastructure.

Do try and keep up.

When are you volunteering?

Oh great. That’s just what we need. The great powers in a hot war.

Russia is not a great power. A financial war limiting her access to foreign currency particularly US$ would probably be sufficient. The US Treasury and the Fed could wipe out Putin far more decisively than any military action.
