Posting a story

I'm about done with a story I wrote, and this would be my first ever one posting it on the site. But, I must know. How do you post stories on this site? I'm sorry for asking such a dumb question. But I'm a bit confused where I go to post it.

Be patient

It is relatively easy to submit the story as I found, but a couple of other thoughts:

1)You can see the status when you log into literotica, click into your user name,there is a works link that will show if your submission has been submitted and if you click on it, the status. Generally when you submit it it will show pending until it gets approved.

2)If you are finishing another story , make sure to indicate that you got permission from the author or that the author gave people permission to do a sequel. That can cause your piece to get rejected.

3)If you want special formatting in the story, make sure to put notes in it, like "ITalics here" before a part that needs italics (formatting apparently in the text doesn't get carried over) and "end italics" at the end, or bold.

4)It can take a while, my first submission took like a week and a half. I upload a file to do this, some say it is better to cut and paste it into the window,that that gets approved faster. So if it takes a while don't get discouraged.

5)Once published there will be a status change in the 'works' window.
