Swannie's Random Stuff

Over in Sydney for a quick business visit. I took advantage of a window of clear sky yesterday to go out and get a bit of run in across the bridge and back.

Feel like going the red pair to head out for dinner tonight. Better get dressed and not be late.

I love that pair !!
Very sexy
And what a great place to live

This first photo shows what a mighty structure this bridge is, and I was compelled to look up where the bridge stood in the single arch league, naturally it has been overtaken from it's position since 1932, but it is still the tallest, Should you have had the notion to jump off whilst running across, they had thoughtfully made it near impossible.

I see you provided you own delicious body arch to complete this series, but the view of your delightful bum may serve as a distraction to some.

A trio of nicely presented masterpieces: the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, and your knickers.

Wonders of the modern world.

They are quite nice, a recent purchase.
Sydney is not my home, but I had a house here for many years that served as home away from home. Nowdays I just hotel it or take an apartment as necessary.

It is a visual bridge. A couple of years ago they released the drawings of the other design candidates at the time. Some boring, one was a three way bridge spoking off through Goat Island off to the west slightly which would have been interesting with a mid air roundabout. It is high enough to have container ships go underneath, and Australia's not-an-aircraft-carrier ships sail through at low tide with about 3m clearance, which would be something to be up on the pedestrian deck to see.

Different sort of arch, I thought it might be a bit of a contrast.
structurally it appears to be incredibly sound....
It creaks a bit and takes a bit of a pounding, but the bridge on the other hand is in good shape. The painting crew takes years to paint it. They start at one end and finish at the other just in time to have to start again at the other end.
Thank you for taking the trouble to answer in detail those who respond to your thread.
As I have always said, I enjoy the banter back and forth. It has to be more than one-way visual.
It looks like the bra matches??
Indeed a set. I always try to buy sets. Mostly they work out, sometimes one is more comfortable than the other, or one part wears out faster than the other so you do end up with odd pieces. I try not to wear bras so much, so they usually have a longer life.

Two of them were from eras of spending a lot of money for an iconic statement over a functional building, the other was from spending $35 on special for the set of bra, thong, and bikini brief.

Oh I don't know.

"Iconic statement" is in the eye of the beholder. It seems to me it's possible to make an iconic statement with just $35.

The bridge is nice, but it's not the pic I'd rather look at if I had my druthers.;)

The glass-flake epoxy coating being used on the Forth Rail bridge was developed by Leighs Paints and is expected to last at least 25 years, ending the tradition of continuously painting the bridge.
I would imagine the same technology is now used at Sydney Harbour bridge.
(Very sexy information).

Love the views, all of them.

I hesitate to ask this question because in my fantasy you are streaking, but what was the attire for your run?

True, I can probably do alright with a bunch of Target 2 for $5 cotton thongs, they are very comfortable.
You get whichever sequence of photos I choose. It varies depending on what i am doing and where I am, but pre-covid traveling probably had better sights and room games than at present.

I'm sure the coatings have evolved with the new technology. Someone had something up not long back on wind friction reduction for load balancing during high storms but I am not going looking for it.

A bit of corner of the world sharing isn't bad, interspaced with a bit of skin. I think it is quite fun and humanising.

No, not a SF Bay to Breakers nude run, or Naked Bike Ride. I am quite attracted to that idea though, it would be so much fun with a group.
Running I just had on a pair of leggings, swimming bra top and a t-shirt. I had actually been for a swim over on the northern beaches earlier that morning and got out of the ride on the north shore to have the run across and around the shore a bit on the city side.

That's about the only way I can compete with your tips, nothing else sticks out far enough to be noticed.

Given their vivid pink color and the way they proudly jut out, I think your tips were meant to be flashed.

"At present" is pretty okay, thanks. Lol!

My cousin did Bay to Breakers once. He's pretty square, and a marathoner, so he made the mistake of assuming everyone there would be as serious as he was.

Of course he should have researched it first, he admitted later. He did say it was humbling for him to get beaten by a 60-year-old man running with a beer in his hand and his schmedzer bouncing along with every stride.

They probably are. No doubt a touch of colour when they are warm.

I'm sure the serious runners go through at the front and the rest of the crowd start in the following start groups. I wasn't aware of its other nature until a Kiwi neighbour in Singapore who moved to SF sent through photos of her group getting up to mischief in it, and then saw that more than a few people do.
Way back in the analog days, the university I did undergraduate at had a charity Nude Run once a year, 6km across campus. The surf lifesaving clubs had one as well, which has now transitioned to an unofficial event in the PC era. Still exist as the Perth Skinnydip, Sydney Skinnydip, Hobart Solstice Swim under the auspices of charity fundraisers.

He claimed the nude and costumed runners were not slouches. Plenty of them seemed to be serious about running. Theres something awesome about that, I think.

I ran nude once, along a beach. It was a bet. It wasn't awful, but there was definitely a lack of needed support. And it was COLD.

Cold is ok. Firms things up. I need a bra on to run anywhere longer than chasing kids down the block. So in theory I could run the beach bottomless, but topless would be a bit bouncy.

They aren't too bad a set, the bra is nicely sheer.

Early night tonight. Have been burning the wick at both ends this last week, time for a nice sleep. It's winter and it disagrees with me already.
