It seems that every Repub comes from the same school....The University of Dumbfuck....in bizzaro land.

It is hard to fathom that he, at his age and after his career, has never been exposed to US History and Native American History:

The Genocide of Native American people's, who have a millenia of rich history in North America, brought about by Europeans.

The rich cultural contributions they have brought to the entire world.

The domestication of food crops, which may have been the most profound positive contribution Native Americans are known for, which all humanity has benefited from to this day.

Rick(and other dopey Repubs), it is best not to just speak off the top of your head...you don't know shit.

Santorum speaks the truth and the left erupts with condemnation backed up by a bunch of unrelated bull shit.

"I mean, yes, we have Native Americans," he said. "But candidly, that -- there isn't much Native American culture in American culture."

That is a fact whether anyone likes it or not.

So far as we know it was not the Native Americans who domesticated crops and started agriculture, it was Mesopotamians who did that.

Also who cares, Santorum isn't really relevant.

100% wrong BotanyBoy....the Mesopotamian domesticated certain wild grains and other things and that didn't make it into the Americas(North America) until well after the first peoples of the America's had domesticated one of the worlds most important grains, along with legumes and squashes.

Your a total dope!

Your right about who cares....no one...your not relevant.

More to the OP's point -- Ricky nor you are qualified to tell Native Americans about their lack of Native American culture.

Really? Well how's about let's start with a few of things so in your face you ignored them shall we?

Potatoes
Corn (maze)
Cocao
Squash (pumpkins)

All of the above were grown and consumed by native Americans (both north and south American) long before Europeans stumbled onto the shore. They've become so much of the day-to-day lives of almost EVERY person it's easy to see how a person can ignore where they came from.

Place names are another. A famous one but by far not the only one: Cheyenne, Wyoming and another, Seattle, named for Chief Sealth. How about Milwaukee? The Palouse? Alabama? Arkansas? There are literally thousands of Native American place names in this country. Below is a link to 50 across the country.

The above is just the most apparent impact Native Americans have had on our culture. If I desired to and decided to spend the time to (which I won't because it's not necessary since with the few words above I've proven your statement to be completely wrong) I could show how deeply Native American culture has impacted ours.

So yea, me thinks it's time you quit staring at the inside of your colon and eat the crow you've been served.

Yeah, there really aren't many Indians using a bow and drill to start fires. Their women aren't carrying clay pots with hot coals from one place to another. They aren't grinding pine nuts and corn with a metate & mano, and they aren't scalping their neighbors and stealing their horses either. They scalp and steal your shit with white man tools now, like Casinos and still use white man "horse power" to get around.;):D

Americans aren't using muskets and sending their young women to "camps" when they get pregnant out of wedlock. We voted for minority and women's rights. They aren't using cauldrons to make stew.

The second part of your B.S. is pure racism.

That's what history is. A struggle for food, land, resources, and mating rights. Might was right. The Europeans were better conquerors than the conquerors that they conquered. Anyone with any understanding of history knows this. Your faux outrage only shows you failed at history.

I know. It’s a shame that most historians choose to ignore the Bowling Green Massacre, for example.

.
Deplorable sociopaths never get the part about the outrage being related to their complete lack of empathy, and the disregard for the lives and communities of Native Americans that were destroyed by European "conquerors". That same sociopathic lack of empathy and disregard for Native American lives and communities still exists today, and manifests itself in the decision making of oil pipeline routes and the condition of health care and other services in Native American communities. It obviously also exists in deplorables.

Not analogous to what I said. Absent their interactions with the white man beginning with the Spanish in 1513, the American Indian would still be a stone age culture as it had been for thousands of years.

You make it seem as if all the Native Americans that lived here when the Europeans first arrived all lived in harmony. They had bloody wars and conquered each other just like the Europeans did. If the Mexica weren't such ruthless, blood thirsty assholes, Cortez doesn't just march right into Tenochtitlan. Every civilization that Cortez passed through essentially said "he can't be any worse."

Bullshit. Industry and technical advances don’t and never did need conquerers to be spread globally.

Cite?? Cuz that's not what mainstream aggie academia says. :)

The above is just the most apparent impact Native Americans have had on our culture.

And it's pretty minimal for being the most obvious. A few crops and place names....some arts and crafts. Taking nothing away from that, that is not really what you would call a strong cultural influence.

Native American culture is practically non-existent at the institutional level. The USA's political, justice/legal and economic institutions/structures are almost exclusively western European.

Santorum isn't wrong.

Pretty easy to pick out the “America is White” advocates.

Yep.

Sociopathic racist deplorables incapable of empathy and consideration for others.

Is it any wonder they worship the traitor in chief as their idol???

Oh look, it’s the self loathing part Asian.

Now I'm self loathing??

LOL!!! :D Whatever you've got to tell yourself champ.

But just fyi, acknowledging reality doesn't make me self loathing ;)
