You don't get the concept of parody, do you...
A riot is never peaceful.
The questions back to you would be:
- why can't you accept that there are people who want police reform in large numbers, specifically surrounding the treatment of blacks?
- why do you work to conflate those people with rioters to minimize their activism?
- What about black lives matter, the concept of systemic racism and poor treatment of black people, do you disagree with?
...if you have to explain the "joke"...
I have no explanation for you joker...
Nope. They should be prosecuted for their lawbreaking.I think that you are trying to apologize for the rioters
So now we're moving onto conflating insurrectionists to BLM protestors to rioters...got it. Oversimplify much?I
and from what I've seen here, that same standard was
not applied to the DC incident.
You're all over the place here. Now you're just blaming everything on an ideological perspective...neat.I'm not minimizing when
it was a repeated pattern of condoned behavior by the Left
who, like you are doing here, tried to minimize the violence
while making the one-off event in Washington indicative of all
conservatives.
Violence has no ideological position. It was used to justify a narrative that the real danger
of violence is all on the right, whereas their violence was just a few people
who were planted in the crowd by the right to besmirch their good intention/reputation.
Well, if you conflate those wanting police reform with those who are rioting, then it follows that you believe that approach doesn't work.As far as price reform, you really don't get it by forcing the police to interact with you
to protect the property and person of the people who have no interest in you beef with the police
who have a great reputation for being good, but a few bad apples indict all police.
No, this is your desire to minimize activism by refusing to accept that they have a legitimate cause and failure to accept that they have a right to their activism. In short, this was not MLK in action, this was the radical Left and their proclivity, historically,
is to resort to violence to help advance their goals...

AJ created a tribute thread for RoryN. Imagine that.

What evidence have you got that the riots were inspired or encouraged by Democrats, or even by the organizers of the protests, unlike the Jan 6 invasion of the Capitol which was encouraged and supported by Republicans?

Note it provides at least two dates, May 31 and August 30, 2020, on which Biden condemned violence that occurred at BLM protests.
Of course, bringing this up at all is a wonderful way to obscure the reality that the vast majority of BLM protests have been peaceful, and much of what little violence has happened often turned out to be the fault of right-wing counterprotesters. Which is your endgame here, we all know that. But either way, the fact remains the left has not been condoning violence. We just haven't been buying into your mythology about what's been happening in our cities.
was a direct result/reaction to the
hate speech of Democrats aimed at them for
over four years. Ever hear of the phrase,
"Basketful of deplorables?"
So the Capitol was invaded by those who self-identify as deplorable?Well, the rioters were not members of The Young Republicans
and the adults who knew better were portraying Trump and
the Republicans as Satan and his minions, but they didn't
motivate any rioting? Additionally, the Jan 6 "invasion"
wasn't supported by Republicans and wasn't inspired
by Trump, but was a direct result/reaction to the
hate speech of Democrats aimed at them for
over four years. Ever hear of the phrase,
"Basketful of deplorables?"
