Just about to tune in and see where the latest track is for the booster re-entry tomorrow. It was supposed to be just off the coast here, then changed to north africa. I was a kid when the US SkyLab came down on top of us here in 1979. Pretty spectacular as it burnt and broke up in the night sky, the biggest chunks of it landing on farm land 150km to the east. We had a few bits hit the sheep paddocks and had to put out grass fires overnight. My brother still has a piece of it that he retrieved from a hole once the fires were out. Of course, we were merrily sitting outside watching it reenter without thinking the low probability of getting pinged by a piece.

Back then Skylab was pretty close. Not sure if you would call Australian farmland a populated area or not. This one came in over the Arabian peninsula this morning and a couple of pieces splashed in short of the Maldives. Nice video from Oman.
