How to set up a series

I may be missing it being explained in a thread or in the control panel for works, but how do you connect two stories into a series?

Story Title Chap.01
Story Title Chap.02

It doesn't matter when you submit the second chapter, it's an automatic process to join them all up. You just need to keep your titles in sequence.

It's an alpha-numeric sort, so you could also do:

Story Title - Alice
Story Title - Bobby
Story Title - Charlie

It has taken at least twenty-four hours after posting for the latest chapter to fall into sequence for each one I've posted so far.

That sounds about right. Lit has multiple server refresh cycles, all with different time periods.

I just clicked the link, its showing Ch 1 & 2 now.
As for that separate break saying its a series, I think Melissa is right, if you don't have any other stories it won't show it that way

Actually, that might take a little longer time as the process probably only runs once a day. If you have two stories the same title even without the Ch. 01, etc. it will slap them together. I have a couple like that where I wrote one a long time ago, then another, completely different yet with the same title and they are now a series and have nothing to do with each other. Just a bug in the process.

Yes as Melissa has said, only two submissions, no need to make them a series as they are a series. Add another not in that series and I will bet the series title will show up.

Yep, I went and looked in my files, and I have a screenshot I took when I finished my first series, which was the only thing I had submitted. It does not show a series heading.

It's less about the header but the relationship that allows a reader to navigate between the next part and the previous part. I was just concerned I missed something when submitting. Thanks folks.

That's the joining up the site does for you. Occasionally it gets cocked up - I have a series listed twice, once in the right order, the second listing losing the plot completely. I tried to get the second listing removed, with no luck. It's pretty obvious what's happened, so I don't fret about it.
