Published story back into pending? (now rejected)

How’s a previously published story find itself back as pending?

Just dipped into see how Part 2 of a story was progressing in terms of being listed and can see its pending (looking like going live today)

But Part 1 that was released a week or so ago, with comments, views, votes etc is now sat as Pending and no longer on the main site

Appreciate this might be a direct question for the mods

Go directly to the sole submissions editor with this. Laurel. She can only be contacted via the Private Message (PM) system, upper right on this page. You have to have PMs turned one (via "User CP," upper left of this page).

Haven't heard of that issue before.

Thanks

Have dropped a PM ...lo and behold Part 2 has just dropped now with the accompanying chapter still stuck in the system

Maybe the readers will assume it’s released out of sequence like Star Wars

Although bizarrely while story is showing as pending and is not available in my list of submissions the below hyperlink (that I captured previous) does show the story as live

https://www.literotica.com/s/bloodshed-pt-01-a-dark-star-tale

I hope I haven’t created/discovered a new glitch

Update - despite ignoring messages and no communication sent the content has now been rejected on the grounds of vore !!

There’s a gruesome death but the content has been moderated once and was live for 7 days

The second part of the story survives (in some ways now to the detriment of the integrity) of the web site

One of those occasions where by a little communication rather than a cut and paste might not go a miss to aid understanding

Appeal submitted with a resubmission ...although I suspect I’m better off just giving up

This probably means that a reader reported the story.

I’d not ruled that out but an explanation might go some way to explaining. So far as I’m aware no Lit rules have been infringed by the content

If they have then rewrites of what constitutes a small percentage of even all 4 proposed parts can be arranged... if necessary.

It usually doesn't take much to tweak the offending passage or sentence, and add a Note to the Editor. Don't give up so easily - but it sounds like you know the story has skated close to the line, so just turn on the ice sooner.
