...but you can never come back.

You go back the age you are now to the first year in that decade with the equivalent of 100 dollars in the currency of that era and one change of good quality clothes from that decade and one hotel room, inn, etc, stay the first night. Once you get to the end of that decade you automatically go back to the start of that decade with the same conditions. You do this as long as your natural life would have been if you had stayed in the present. It could be a loop for several decades depending on your age.

You have to start a new life from scratch, not contacting anyone you may have known then if you were alive at the time. You have to cut all ties to current loved ones (they will be told you died). You get no extra lifetime beyond what you would have staying in the present but you could die sooner depending on events that might happen.

Do you do it and if so what decade?

It's strictly optional by the way. You can stay in the present and ignore the offer.

Intriguing- although I don't think you quite defined the game rules. What do you mean, a decade? A calendar decade (e.g. 2000 - 2009?) or a decade of our own lives? If it's the latter, again, how do you define it? Any ten years of our life? Or might you want it to be a decade as normally reckoned- so the third decade might be 20 to 29?

I might define the most interesting decade of my life as being from the time I was 14 to, say, 23, but doing that might contravene the rules of your game.

I would like 1960- 1970.

Bury me deep!:D

Pretty much any decade before 2020...

I'd probably take the 1970s or 1980s though, if I had a choice. I'd take my 100 dollars and invest in a small unknown start-up company called "Apple..."

10 years of perpetual groundhog day? Ummm, let me think about it and get back to you.

Waiter? Check please!

What’s the point? There is no upside whatsoever given your conditions.

Interesting idea BUT

I am 82 so I would like to pick what age I would want to be as well as the prior decade. Catch would be I would be no smarter than I was at that age so you can not take advantage of things you learned in your later years. Interesting twist. Any comments?

What’s the point? There is no upside whatsoever given your conditions.

I think the only upside would be to choose the decade in which you were the most stoned and return to then. That way the high never stops. Ever. Nor does the puking and starving.

I agree, going back with just $100?

If the decade started January 1, 2010. i could split the january 2 jackpot of $25 million with the other winner.

Tha January 1, 2011 powerball also looks like $25 million with no winners.

So I guess I could do that once or twice before i croak.

Overall, I would decline.

I think the hang up is "same age as you are now." Since that is the case, why would I go anywhere? If I'm younger I'd want to explore other ages first and if I'm older or old, why would I go back and be old for eternity?

I would love to take the twenty five year old version of my wife and I to the 60s. Our hotwife lifestyle would be magnified in the free love generation!

Go back to the 70's but do some stock research and purchase stocks with that 100 that I know will make me a ton of money.
