The next time your blood begins to boil with rage at a series of commercials that seems to be more interested in selling social and political agendas than the products being advertised, consider this.

Its not just your imagination. There is literally a conspiratorial organization known as the World Federation of Advertisers that controls a majority of major global ad buys. The group brags about using its influence to promote radical social agendas and silence those voices it doesn't want heard.

Yes, Virginia, it really is a conspiracy and its getting worse not better.

Yeah goodammit, we only want commercials showing white people, no colords! And fuck all this preaching about people being equal and not judging people by their skin color! We WANT commercials to show non-whites as inferior! And more confederate flags, burning crosses and guys wearing white sheets, please!

The thing is, you can (hopefully) tell I'm being sarcastic, but sadly, Dmitri up there is not.

Renard, it looks like another marketing/consulting/(supposedly) non-profit/focus-group-offering/zoom-meeting/self-promoting wonder group that will consult with your particular organization on a multitude of intra- and inter-departmental issues that (in this case) are related to marketing whatever your product might be. Yes, they're big, and yes they have a tendency to promote conformity but it's simply because they tell company after company the same things (consultants have been doing that for as long as consultants have existed), not because they're part of a shadowy leftist cabal out to reshape society. I don't like it much either but your conspiracy theory is...just that.

I've no doubt they reflect the changes of modern culture more than you'd like them to, but you have to understand they're not suggesting advertising that's meant for you (or me) anymore. Advertisers must do that. In their case it's more reactive than controlling.

hey...

the purpose of commercialization the way it is carried out today isn't about conformity it is about 'creating profit by incitement and exclusion'

RRs tin foil hat needs adjusting if he saw radical social agenda conspiracy from that wiki article.
