"Collective" was phenomenal. One of the best films I've seen in years, and an important one.

Any Oscar predictions?

"My Octopus Teacher" and Anthony Hopkins - both big, pleasant surprises. Great actor, great documentary.

I just read the list of all the movies that were nominated, I've only heard of five and watched one (Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga). Also, I had no clue that the Oscars were on last night: that's my level of interest today due to woke Hollywood.

The only thing I'm interested about last night's Oscars is how far did the ratings plunge? My guess is that it will be the least watched Oscars in history.

the whole show sucked. i turned it off at 11, before the major awards, because i just couldn't stand any more. it was more like a memorial service than an awards show.

I haven’t seen a newly released movie since Covid.

I am partial to Covid 2: The Coviding.

I've seen 6 of the 8 Best Picture nominees, and the weakest of the bunch (Mank) was at least nice to look at. So I think it was a fairly strong movie year in spite of everything.

I honestly didn't even know they were even having the oscars this year and I live in the greater LA area.

Oscars = Hollywood's Ultra Liberal Mutual Admiration Society

Nobody else gives a fuck.

Isn't there another pointless thread for you to make on this erotica website that will be lucky to reach page 2?

You're the #1 or #2 poster in almost every one of your own threads.

So, if that's your measure of success, you're a miserable failure on here. :nana: :D

Whoa. I accidentally saw half of the movie nominations. Tenet wasn't all that, One Night was good but not Oscar-worthy, Promising Young Woman was awesome, and The Sound of Metal was really good.

I couldn't be arsed with subtitles or I would have seen Another Round as well. I'll watch The Father but the others don't interest me.

I'm not surprised ratings were lower. Ratings for all awards shows have been dramatically down of late, these Oscars were held at an unusual time of year, there was a lot less spectacle for obvious reasons, and for people who don't stream movies it's like the entire movie year didn't happen.

Sooo the red stater whackados are taking a victory lap because no one really watched an award show about movies when like 10 movies total got released for an entire year due to a pandemic?

Way to go fellas.

No, I'm saying you're an unhinged moron masquerading as some sort of professional know it all on the internet.
