Thanks NotWise and everyone for your comments and support. I have had a couple veteran authors give me some good feedback, so fingers crossed. I have seen a number of posts on how long it takes for a new author, so I am fully expecting to wait a bit. And do rework if needed.

Just so you set your expectations, it seems like publication approval is currently running 4-6 days. If it's just one person doing the approval, and each submission is scanned for formatting and a cursory validation of legal content, and then converted to browser display, it's got to be quite a tedious chore! I'm surprised Laurel doesn't farm some of that out, but I guess there are probably concerns about liability.
