Yes, I agree. I'm still very supportive of the police and the defund thing isn't something I'm behind except in very limited and specific ways.

Most police are just folks doing their jobs and raising families like the rest of us. It's a tough job. Most police are very decent.

Being a Liberal Progressive isn't at odds with supporting the police.

I was very welcome to see the "blue wall" not happen in this trial and I think this is the start of something more broad across the.policing world. At least I hope.

I think that depends on how you define a "good" cop.

Let's assume that 10 percent of all cops are the proverbial "bad apples"...thugs with badges, "I am the law", etc.

On the flip side, 10 percent of all cops always do the right thing, including reporting egregious misconduct of their fellow officers.

That leaves 80 percent (or "less than half" using Que-math, but I digress). They may be affable, friendly officers who are devoted to public safety....but they turn a blind eye to police misconduct by their fellow "bad apple" officers.

I posit that, because of this inability to "do the right thing" vis-a-vis bad cops, they are just as bad as a bad cop.

In my opinion, those cops who stood idly by whilst Chauvin publicly murdered someone he arrested are 'bad cops', guilty of conspiracy to murder.
