when prince was found dead i was totally shocked. i still feel grief at losing such a creative person. i think his legacy will be even greater as time passes.

when prince philip died, my first reaction was, "who cares?" he'd leeched off of the public for the last 70 years while doing nothing but cutting ribbons and walking behind liz. ten years from now people will be saying, "who?"

They are funded by their own income which they pay to the UK government which gives them SOME back. The monarchy actually pays the UK more than they cost.

As for his role? Arguably, the Duke of Edinburgh has done far more for young people through the millions of young people who have gone through the Duke of Edinburgh's award scheme, than ever that prince you adore ever did.
