Non-restricted firearms include most ordinary hunting rifles and shotguns. ... Prohibited firearms are not allowed into Canada.

I have the source, well many sources. Handgun are highly restricted and I defer to our Canada folks here in areas that I'm incorrect about.

Hand guns can be owned legally in Canada, by Canadians. Americans cannot legally bring theirs in across the border, unless they get permits ( as you mention), and have a valid reason for doing so ( your CBA officers who pre-screen international American destination travellers at Canadian airports for example). They may also need to take the Canadian restricted firearms course as well, depending upon the why's of their need to bring in a handgun, or any other firearm considered restricted such as an AR-15...

Yes hand guns fall into the restricted category, and for a Canadian to own and posses one ( or more) you need to take and pass an extra training course on restricted firearms ( this includes our LEO officers be they Police, Border or Conservation Officers etc and yours as well).

No I don't....that sentiment I have is directed at Mr. Bobo the traitor to his country and his side kick Dud Sphincter.

I grew up in a hunting and fishing family, I've had plenty of friends who were cops or married to cops, my Aunt carried a silver pistol with an ivory handle(it was a good looking gun that went with her type of dress).

I understand completely that the vast majority of gun owners are law abiding and want the same thing as I....common sense gun legislation and restrictions that make goose stepping militarist numbskulls(like Bobo and friends) have to work much harder at getting guns, mostly because, as Bobo has state plenty of times....he is itching for a gun fight with our current gov't, he is itching to use his guns to take by force what he wants. He has said it plenty here.

As has been posted already, by you and others, very cogent and relevant points about the vast majority of folks wanting sensible gun reform via existing legislation and enforcement.

My ideology is exactly that I see no uses for guns(All of them except hunting) in civilized societies with very limited exceptions. That is my personal view...not likely to happen anytime soon...and I'm very supportive of the guns reform support numbers posted here on other threads.
