When the son of a former vice president and current President of the United States goes unpunished for illegally acquiring a gun and subsequently illegally leaving it unsecured in a car which subsequently led to it being taken and placed in a trash bin near a school, it should come as no surprise that our existing gun laws are not being enforced.

Why the Angry guns?
Why in times of great stress (as long as the world last nowadays) is not ways and means put in place to detect when people or walking on the edge sanity?
There are tens of thousands of people walking around going tick ...tic... tic... whom lust after killing dozens of people ASAP.
They don't care how.
They are only held back by the grace of God and people that care about them.
Sometimes that is not enough.
Until you hear people honestly talk about doing these kind of things you don't know what worry is.
It as amazing that there is so few incidents.

Most everyone I know has an AR, me included. They've never been fire at anything more animated than a coffee can.
One thing i have never heard, from our local posters all the way to 'dear leader', is exactly how one would accomplish taking all the guns away.
Wave the magic wand and assume for the sake of discussion that guns have been banned. Now you have 400 million guns in the hands of what, over 100 million people, many of whom will not give them up voluntarily.
How, precisely, would this magical confiscation happen? I'm sure to hear generic actions like 'send in the army', or 'the local police/state police/sheriff', but the reality is the second something actually starts, every other gun owner in the country will know about it minutes later.
Result? Civil war. If people were to honestly try to work out the 'how', they would realize you can't. Then maybe we could focus on the actual problem, the people needing help, the ones who snap. Focus on those people and enforce the laws to take care of the thugs, and you'd be amazed at the change.
