It is illegal to shoot anyone who is fleeing.

It is illegal to shoot anyone who is complying with the Police's orders.

It is illegal to use deadly force on a perp if they are subdued.

Chauvin will be going to jail, as well as this officer in Chicago and the officer in Daunte Wright shooting.

I support law abiding police who do a very difficult job and do it even when their lives are in danger...I don't support criminal police activity.

I'm at the point of expecting a great deal more from police. These are supposed to be trained citizens who are able to handle their jobs. I don't want my dentist or surgeon freaking out and grabbing the wrong tool. I don't want my accountant to get IRS anxiety that makes it so they file the wrong form.

If a police officer cannot handle the pressures of the job then they need to get a new job. Period.

I expect more.

Fighting with cops is not compliance.

Yes, I expect more from the police as well. It is a hard job that isn't for everyone and I think Adrian makes an excellent point.

We are all supposed to know how to do our jobs competently. It isn't too much to ask, especially with all of these cases of excessive force and deadly force.

Cornus, I would refer you to your post of the other day about resisting police and how you agreed with Robdownsouth. I agreed with him and you as well.

Resistance is not justification for use of deadly force....as quoted above in Tennessee vs. Garner.

Depends on the resistance.

In the case of the dumb ass wrestling cops to try and flee who was shot? No. it didn't.

In the case of the dumb ass's who pull weapons (real or replica/fake) on a cop???

Cop is totally justified letting the air out of them.
