Interminably Slow Loading

It's been slow for a few days, and it's getting slower. Several times this morning it failed to find my story list and gave me a default home page.
I assume this has something to do with the recent changes, and I hope it doesn't continue much longer.

Even on the best of days I found the new page much slower to load and scroll through than the old one. It's why when I reached 1,000 stories on my sr71plt account, I just opened a new account. With the new page, it was taking forever to get anywhere in the middle of the listing.
Just not it took forever just to sign out of the new page.

Thanks for the information, but, again, a grouse that explanations are being given on twitter, which many of us don't follow, but not here on the actual Web site?

Slow access to the website
It just took 50 seconds to access the site, but clicking around is quicker after getting in.

I’ve just tried a few ties and it timed out on me. Think that’s maybe more than something related to a few new users.

Well, my author CP is slow as all get-out, but at some point today, my login to the forum started to stick again. I've been out and back several times over the last five hours or so, and I've remained logged in. That hasn't worked for months.
If there wasn't a fix put in related to that, might be worth digging into my behind the scenes data for clues to what's been causing it.
I haven't done anything different. I wasn't even home today. Just checked on my phone ( which I had to log in on every time I checked while at work ) and the login wasn't holding there. We'll see what happens now that I've logged in on it again. If the login starts sticking there, I'll drop that nugget here.

We are getting ready to do more hardware upgrades to help with the increase in readers and stories published each day. The upgrades should happen in the next week or two and we're hopeful the new hardware will make a big difference. In the meantime, if you're reading stories, you can view the Story Page (or other public pages) in a logged out/private window and it should be much faster than if you're logged in.
