Thinking of writing a few stories but want to know if some details would be OK to have or not. One story(s) idea is a coming of age story where the main character(s) turn 18, however it is mentioned that they watched/listened to others having sex and later join in after turning 18. So no direct sexual activity until age 18. If anyone knows of any stories like this already on literotica, please send them my way, or if there is an admin who sees this please let me know so I can get started soon. Thank you!

Describing what they saw or heard before they were 18 is a no-no. The story will be rejected and/or reported. If you want to write coming of age stories you will have to go to another site to do it.

It is possible to work around it, but only in the broadest of terms.
For instance, “I had brothers; I knew the difference between boys and girls. I’d had The Talk with my mother.” That would probably get by, but under-18s involved in any form of sexual experience, even hearing Mom and Dad’s bed squeaking on the other side of the wall, is verboten.

Kinda sad, actually. Being 16 is not a crime and neither is being awake when Mom and Dad think you are asleep. Geez, it happens.

It’s a site thing, possibly to help defend against kiddy-porn charges from those who will find any excuse to cause trouble. What’s really sad is that there are so many of those.
Mind sharing some of those threads, I have been looking at this issue for months, mostly trying to get admins to respond to my e-mails, and I can cannot find anything

The only time I mentioned a minor in a story was in passing. An art critic did not believe that an artist was authentic (He thought she was a con job cobbled up by her master) To prove that she was on the level she had one of her "young nieces" pose while she sketched her. -- I've since deleted the story from L.com. Mentioning that a character has kids and their ages is fine too as long as they stay off stage and out of the bedroom.

Kids don't need to stay off stage. There are plenty of stories here that feature kids, just not in the sex scenes.

And I have several stories where the couple has children, but they are never present when mom and dad do it. They are either sound asleep or over at grandmas.

Since my MCs tend to be healthy sex-positive adults who enjoy sex and want to have sex with each other, adding underage characters to the stories lends authenticity BECAUSE they serve to add an obstacle that most readers seem to want in a story.
Being responsible people, the MCs "have to take care of the kids first," and since those kids aren't of age (and don't have popcorn) they can't just sit on the other sofa and do their homework (or watch), adding useful tension.
