Have you gotten the Covid Vaccine yet?

  • Total voters
    45
  • Poll closed .
My county only distributes it during set hours...which I work. Sad huh? Republican state doesn't really want people vaccinated...they just wanted their voting base to stop dying.

My wife and I have had the first Pfizer jab. We expected the second soon.

I get the second Pfizer tomorrow morning. So I will wait till then to vote in the poll.:D

Gee, and just yesterday you were attempting to make fun of DeSantis for letting Publix grocery stores distribute the vax in Fla, 'cause they're only open 24 hrs a day.

You just bitch to hear yourself bitch.

Say what? As I remember...I was making fun of stupid people...including you

Show me the link where I made fun of Publix

Still waiting for an appointment here in California. My tier is now eligible, but it's a big county and there's a shortage of vaccines (due to the State monkeying with the distribution schedule every other week).

Checking for availability is an every day thing for the immediate future.

Oh Gee, thats a respectable news outlet, yahoo!

Why don't you try reading the real news story where it was tabled and decided by multiple parties, that already exiting Publix was more convenient to the people of Florida than trying to open independent outlets, to avoid the situation YOU STATED in your first post of this thread that you could not arrange timing to get vax.

As I said earlier, I'll back DeSantis.

I have almost nil exposure, very rarely out in public among the wildlife. I'll wait until most others have had it ... they who are in public exposure daily, or at least more often than I am.

Though the state of California has had some major hiccups in vaccine distribution- as many states have- I'm happy to say I got both my Pfizer jabs a month ago. Luckily no reactions, other than a mildly sore arm for a day. No different from a flu vaccine to me. But it's a huge load off my mind to know I'm protected, at least more than before. Hoping everyone is eligible for vaccines soon. I think the latest date the government has set for full vaccine eligibility is April 19.

And you won't even get a vaccine.

Only Fascist traitors will support a Fascist traitor. Sucks being a traitor huh?

All I am trying to do is prevent a war. A war your type will start. A war my type will finish. It shouldn't have to resort to violence...but it will. The solution is simple. Do you prefer the violence route? Why?

California has a similar "possible scandal" as Florida, except in our case, the Governor and the Covid Task Force decided to give the distribution responsibility to Blue Cross/Blue Shield (after three months of being able to get it right themselves) - and Blue Cross/Blue Shield is a big donator to Gov. Newsome. Multiple counties (non-Republican counties) sued and then negotiated a settlement.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield then distributed to counties based on median income to attain equity in vaccine distribution, my county (which has a high median income) was basically cut entirely out of getting vaccines for two weeks, which disrupted the whole vaccination schema here.

I think vaccine distribution is a pretty complex beastie - and no matter the decisions made you're gonna piss someone off.

I'm too young and too healthy still. My BFF (same age) got one due to his heart arrhythmia.

It's simpler than people make it seem: prioritize the most elderly, those who have serious comorbidities, and those who have jobs that place them at greater risk. The major questions are if you should go first come first serve after that, or if there are further groups that could be prioritized. But this is rapidly becoming moot for most of the country. We should hit half of all American adults having gotten at least one shot sometime next week.

It was almost exactly three months from when the first people started getting vaccines to when it was my turn, which I thought was perfectly fair. When the rollout started, I was hoping to get it the second half of spring, but I'll be done well before then.
