Judging by all the television boxes in today’s trash pickup everyone in my subdivision got their stimulus checks...

the rich got their tax cut.

the poor got something to eat.

what's not to love?

85% of American's do not even have $1000 saved up in the bank. Give them $1400 or more, and they can't drive to Walmart fast enough to spend it!

If they didn't have such a drug habit, the $1400 could have easily been made into $2800 in a day. So I commend them...at least they walked away with something

I refelted the pool table and bought a yuge bag of weed.
The rest went in the bank until I can find another frivolous purchase.

Trash day is tomorrow..

No real surprise there. I expect to see some BBQ grill packaging and maybe some sound system packaging as well.

I’ll be walking my dog and I’m sure it will be interesting.

I did have my husband clean our grill and replace the grates. It cost 48 dollars and should keep us grilling for another two years..

Our tax dollars at work

It is a very interesting view of the constitution to think that the government can take money from anyone they want, print money all they want, borrow money all they want and give away money all they want.

What could possible go wrong in the long run?

I picked up an 85" Sony X900H 4k tv just after Christmas. Didn't use covid money to pay for it. I haggled the salesguy down 800 bucks back to their Black Friday price. It is stupidly massive and I couldn't stop smiling while the Geek squad guys were setting it up.

It’s definitely a healthy mix..

The same people buying TVs with the money borrowed from the future are the same ones that continually borrow from their own future and never have anything worthwhile to show for it.

This is why the war on poverty is neverending.

We'll invade Canada while assuring Mexico that they are safe,
and telling Europe that we have no designs outside of
uniting our "white" compatriots with the homeland.

Then we'll take Mexico...

:D ;) ;)

We should just surrender and let the purview of charity go back to the church.

Or, the Government could supply the underwaged with 85" Sonys to keep them sedated in their parents basements until economic conditions improve.

As long as I can remember, you could drive into the poor part of town
(where my grandmother lived and I had to go cut her grass),
and find Cadillacs and big-ass Buicks parked
in front of virtual hovels...

GMAC should upsell a starter home with every new Silverado.

Meanwhile, when you pass through the white-trash redneck part of this town,
all you see are F150s and Camaros...

You still can.

New pickups fill the spaces in apartment parking lots located in the worst parts of town. At ~$50k each, that's a lot of cash for the "poor".

Between the stimulus checks, getting the 600 over the summer and now my best refund checks ever. I understand why the government is broke. Getting new windows. I'm appreciative and glad I'm older. Thank you government.

Aren't televisions in the states like $200 or something?

Do you own a television? What difference does it make if people buy a TV or a new bed or a stand mixer or whatever? They're stimulating the economy aren't they? Isn't that what they're supposed to be doing?
