Healthcare Workers here on Lit? Say hi

Hi😊
Are you in healthcare ? I'd love to hear from people and the different types of HCW here on Lit.

I'm a RN working for a hospice provider in south Florida.
Interested in getting to know others.

Anyone else ?

I may have posted this in the wrong area. I hope people will post here to say 🙋*♀️
Not just PM me ... although that's completely fine to do also

There’s lots of us here :) I’m an RN in Australia, primarily working in the Emergency Department.

I manage the dietary department at a nursing home...

Does that count?

Hi

I work for the NHS in the UK..I'm appalled at how health care workers are treated here.. minimum wage for a job that puts people lives in danger..like I said I'm a nurse working for the NHS so I'm paid accordingly even though a 1% pay rise was a joke..I'm not sure how health workers are treated in other countries or how much they are paid...but I salute each and every one of you and those in the UK..we at the NHS think of you every day and hope one day you are paid what your worth ..god bless you all xx

Medical Laboratory Scientist and Certified Laboratory Consultant.
My early career was infectious diseases like TB and STD's.
Now I specialize in physician office laboratories in NJ

Thank You

I am not a health care worker, but I just want to share my gratitude and appreciation to all of you. My family has been affected by the pandemic in various ways, but that is true for a lot of families.

So, for those that can not say it, THANK YOU ALL for your hard work. Whether you from the front line workers to the admins, to the custodial team, thank you so much!!

Not a health worker, but use services regularly. Agreed in full that the pay rise was a total joke. Notice how it’s all gone a bit quiet on that front?

Thank you for what you do, Stacysmith. Thank you.

The treatment of NHS workers is appalling, I agree. I know quite a few people who work for the NHS as nurses, midwvies, paramedics, practice nurses...the stories they have of the way they are treated not only by the government, but also by patients "we pay your wages" and the managers is so soul. So, bless all of you!!

Thank you for your service, care and attention.

I hand the upmost respect and admiration for all HCW, many whose hardwork and selflessness unfortunately get overlooked because of their title after their name or simply due to lack of awareness of the levels of works within the Healthcare industry. That you all very much from the bottom of my heart.

I am not a HCW, but I’ve work with them almost my whole life in various roles. Currently , I work in Pharmaceutical Research , pre and post marketed investigational medicinal products and through HCWs commitment to their current responsibilities, in addition to helping patients through clinical trials, I continue to be blessed to work with HCW.

I apologize for the rant, I’ll get off my soap box..

P.S.: In college, in my experience, Nursing students and Educational students were the wildest sexually, dinking and partying wise. Good times

I'm a nurse that transitioned from a medsurg floor (that became the covid unit), to home hospice here in the US. Love what I do, and all my fellow HCWs ❤️
