This actually surprised me. I would have bet no deal...another franchise tag...and he was gone next year. It isn't that I don't think he is worth it...I do. But their defense sucked more than sucked. It was horrible. Where is the money coming to fix it? They are going to have to trade someone decent from the offense to get more draft picks...cause they need 10 just to replace the shit they had on defense.

It's a far bigger deal than I expected, even with the caveats. And yeah, their defense is where they need to build the most. It's gonna be interesting to see if they get creative, or just continue to suck.

When a team pays a QB this much guaranteed money...you sure as fuck don't want him running the ball...and you have to have a line to protect him. So the game plan just became far more restricted and easier to defend. Stop Elliot...game over. I do think he was worth it...but I do not see a future for this team other than the fact they are in the shittiest division out there...the WFT won it with a 7-9 record so they will get at least one home playoff game. Jerry may realize they will never be elite...but Texans will buy anything...including electricity from a corrupt system
 
I root for whoever is playing Dallas.

My team, the Panthers are in the second year of "rebuilding." I could go on but I would just upset myself.
 
^^^He got one more year with Ben which is what I think all parties wanted. Watch for a dismantling after next season. They are due.

This is actually usually a nice time of year in Cleveland. Too bad it's probably going to rain on the draft, which I can assure you Browns fans have looked forward to for some time (probably assuming we'd have the first pick again).
