I think when we are young, that we pass up opportunities to date older men and women. I know I was guilty of that. It is like dating can only be for developing a serious relationship that leads to marriage.

It seems dating cannot be about just going out and having fun, maybe learn new things, be exposed to new ideas and hobbies and maybe pickup some life experiences.

I get that there has to be some sort of physical attraction and most people are not going to want to marry someone 20-30 years older but that does not mean you could not enjoy the company of someone knowing it was not going to be long term. There are definitely a couple of lost opportunities that I would like to have a do over.

You bring up some good points. I was fortunate to have been nudged in that direction by a neighbor lady when I was a boy. She taught me many things about living and loving. When I dated, I was attracted to older girls, something I never regretted. Once I understood the wonderful benefits older women had to offer, I was sold on it.
