‘It’s not fair!’ Capitol rioter who violated Pelosi’s office screams at judge

An Arkansas man who stormed the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6 and went viral after photos circulated showing him with his feet up on Nancy Pelosi's desk, appeared before a federal judge this Thursday for a status hearing.

According to NBC4 investigative reporter Scott MacFarlane, Barnett began "screaming" at attorneys and the judge, saying that it's "unfair" that he's been locked up "for a whole month."

Richard Barnett has been charged with aiding and abetting, disorderly conduct in a capitol building, parading or demonstrating in a capitol building, and theft of government property. He has pleaded not guilty on all counts and is currently being held without bond and will remain in custody until his trial.

Maybe next time he'll think a bit more about his actions - like entering illegally, mail theft etc. These idiots become so surprised when they finally are held accountable for their actions.

Ever remember how fond the republicans were of asserting that they're party is the one of law and order and the one for personal accountability?

I remember.:)

Their surprise is because they were doing what their president told them to do. This doesn't make them the brightest bulbs in the chandelier, but it does justify their surprise based on their belief in the position of the president of the United States. It's Trump who should get the stiffest sentence for the coup he attempted and the not-too-bright people he duped.

Me too, but I do not remember a time when they thought it ought to apply to them personally. Only to those other people, you know, the welfare mothers and such!

In the long run their convictions will look like badges of honour.

They're all dangerous and tough-talking until they get in front of a judge and then suddenly they're all like, "Please don't send me to jail! I'll be a good boy!"

Through word and deed, Trump has attempted to create the perception that he's above the law and that he cannot be prosecuted no matter how many laws he breaks.

Trump's followers seem to have glommed onto the idea that if they break the law in the service of Trump, they're also immune from prosecution.

It is most satisfying to watch them squirm and whine, when they get dragged in front of a judge and they discover that they are NOT above the law!

If your surname isn't Clinton you're screwed.

These guys think that since they are "free, white, and over twenty-one" that they NEVER have to live with the consequences of their actions. These dullards actually thought that Trump would pardon them! They still don't get that Trump only cares about Trump. His followers are not smart people.

Kayleigh McEnany whines about Joe Biden telling 'pernicious lie' regarding Georgia election law

Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday whined that President Joe Biden had told a "pernicious lie" by comparing Georgia's recent election law to Jim Crow-era discrimination.

"There is no systemic discrimination, there is no institutionalized racism in America," Fox news contributor Leo Terrell argued. "Jim Crow ended with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Civil Rights Act of 1965. Joe Biden is lying from the Oval Office. That's why he is constantly lying about this and it is hurting people."

One Republican senator argued on Saturday that it's time for people to stop asking him about why he voted with the insurrectionists the night of the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.

CNN anchor Pamela Brown noted a new poll showing that 70% of Republicans believe the "Big Lie" that Donald Trump won the 2020 election.

"You voted to toss out millions of votes in Arizona and Pennsylvania, you also joined on to the Texas lawsuit attempting to throw out votes cast in four states," Brown noted as Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) nodding his head in affirmation.

I'm curious, looking back, do you have any regrets your actions?" Brown asked. "And any concern that they contributed to misinformation about the election?"

"Look Pamela, it's so -- we're just so ready to move on," Marshall replied.

"But it's time to move on, it's time for this country to heal, it's time for a spirit of forgiveness to be happening," he begged.

This is analogous to a bank robber telling a judge, "Yeah, I robbed a bank and I shot a bank teller, but it's time to move on. It's time for a spirit of forgiveness to be happening."

Yeah, keep on reminding people of their treachery and treason.

You stated the Right whines a lot... ?

Put that on a scale that to the Left rioting, destroying, and burning up major cities across the country with their "peaceful protests", that includes assaults and murder.

What side of that scale do you prefer?

I suppose calling out blatant lies by the left is now considered ‘whining’?

A man arrested this week for participating in the January 6th riots at the United States Capitol building demanded that former President Donald Trump pay his legal bills.

As reported by Reuters legal affairs journalist Jan Wolfe, MAGA rioter Zvonimir Jurlina was arrested in Austin, Texas this week and charged with inciting violence against members of the media who were covering the rioting Trump supporters and with encouraging the theft of media equipment.

In a video posted shortly after his court appearance Jurlina complained about being a "political prisoner" who was being persecuted for being a "patriot."

"After today, I gotta go right home, I can't get in any trouble, I can't do nothing bad, I can't do no drugs," he said.

He then turned his attention to Trump, the man who inspired him to participate in a violent riot at the Capitol.

"I'd like to say to Donald Trump, please pay for my legal fees!" he said. "This all happened because of you, okay? I didn't do nothing wrong."
