Lovely and something they will always have.
I can draw a mean stick-figure! (I can’t draw or paint)

I have to make a bench for the entry at the cabin. It will cover the 750 amp-hr batter pack for the solar power system. It will just be a simple 3/4" ply box. I will not paint it.

I just taught myself Norwegian Wood...not the sitar part...the phrasing is not quite right. :)

thanks :)
they're 10&11 had other presents, too, money and stuff, but where we've not been seeing eachother as much due to the pandemic i just wanted to make them something more personal and they're both really into drawing.

not even a big old sunburst to brighten it up? shame on you :D

mainly abstract stuff. fill a balloon with brake fluid or paint stripper and leave it on a car roof or hood (bonnet) trunk (boot) every time it makes a different pattern.

ok, heres the thing. you expect someone to post evidence of art work which can be reproduced without any payment? sistah.... where would Rembrandt have got? also its not nice.

p.s why post photos on line which can then be used to back track someone's location details? you a stalker?

but you said it comes out different every time (though prints may be worth a thought *nods) so hard to reproduce in 3-D

nah, just whack some duct tape over reg plates and make sure no reflections of your mug are showing in wing mirrors or windows and you're golden

stalker? moi? too much frikkin' effort, mate :cattail:

strewth cobber, you turning aussie mate?

reg plates can be much more fun, hire a car of the same model (and year - same external features, mirrors, trim etc) as your mate, get show plates made up in ireland (no DVLA ownership details needed), fit said plates using double sided tape to the hire car (no damage to hire car, plates easily installed and removed), run amok through traffic camaras , (under GDPR you can download sites active in the UK) or do something more extreme ( but none damaging to the hire car), return hire car, job done.

I can't paint or draw because of hand coordination issues I've had all my life, but I do sometimes do 3-D works inspired by Duchamp for my local artists' group. Some people have even wanted to buy them but I put so many hours into each that I can't bear to part with them.

you're entirely too comfortable with all this :D

Nah

I would find such behaviour abominable.

also dialling some fucker who kept you awake all night due to a loud party in their garden, from a distant public payphone in the early hours of a random day some time later, then hanging the phone up on the shelf of the payphone (Yorkshire still has a number of remote call boxes as does Somerset, i believe) or simply asking someone (who maybe an acquaintance, but may not be) to ring that number and do that, makes the third parties phone engaged until the circuit is restored.

Creative telecommunication.

well, if you feel like posting any i'd be glad to look at them
We enjoy the process of building things
lamps from driftwood..

and other things...
there's some great stuff there! such an unusual table that at first made me think 'ooer, unstable' but then since it's a side table that's not such an issue and it definitely IS innovative. thanks for posting those.:cattail:

Those are great butters!!! :rose: I like to do different crafts but painting and drawing is not in my DNA!!

Currently Into Wood Working

I started out big - wall unit, desk, credenza, and then went the opposite way and started making music boxes. They don't open - just play music when wound. Each is unique in looks and in music. Spent many years taking photos - such a wonderful but expensive hobby. When the field went digital I could not afford a digital camera and gave it up.

Can't figure out how to add photos - late and I'm tired. I'll figure it out and show a bit of my stuff tomorrow.

if you can upload them to your computer, when you have the 'reply' box open and scroll under it there's a 'manage attachments' to click on and it gives you instructions. otherwise, post a link to the image where you have it hosted (like on imgur, for example).

woodwork's a complicated art, so i look forward to seeing your pics!

My local Aldi had special offers today on Artists' charcoal sticks and oil pastels, so I bought some to try.

I've been building a OM guitar for years. Little work here, little work there. It's been a few years since I've taken it out of its bin. I'm afraid that my top and sides have split due to the mid summer move. I just need to look.

I've also been 'mid-build' on my Strat. No actual wood working there, just light sanding to fine tune fits. That's in a different bin sitting on top of the other bin. Someday...

Waitrose never seem to do any decent bargains anymore....

my local aldi had mince pies on special today, short best before dated though.

A bit shocked on the charcoal thing though Ogg, charcoal tends to be black, and can come off on the hands.

Fruit pastels have less of a bite back than oil ones i find.
