If dogs hadn't snagged the title they could be thought of as man's best friend, I recently saw a guy in a boat plating fetch the ball with a dolphin, when he threw the ball the dolphin brought it back and waited patiently for him to throw it again.

A week out on the boat was wonderful. School was back in, university just starting so the number of people out there mid week was somewhat less. The dolphins were cheeky and stole much of the lobster and fish catch before it could be brought in, but hey, they are friendly. The new underwater blue lights light up all around in the evening, bringing in the herring and the things that eat them.

Back on the mainland, the temperatures are a bit hotter. Monday and tuesday were 38 and 39C, which those of you in the snow probably don't want to hear about. Most of the north is getting a lot of rain, as is the east, so thankyou El Nina. South African friends report they are finally getting rain there after 5 years of drought, so maybe it cools things down a touch on that continent. It was still 36C at 6pm so an evening skinny dip was in order.

I found a robe on the boat to dive in to when friends turned up in their shore boat. Turned out to be one of the useless ones that doesn't stay closed or tied up properly. Everyone was getting eyefuls as I was putting some breakfast together. Not devastating as we all have been on the beach together so know what everything looks like, but not everyone wants the full show while having toast and coffee.

That said, unless it is a zoom meeting, it is too hot around the house to wear much so have been minimalising and airing as much as possible. So long as I remember when a video call comes in, noone is going to raise an eyelid.

I'm not one for taking pics inside ladies bathrooms, well, maybe a sneaky in the loos, but this motif was rather inspiring for a hotel lobby.

That's a great walking around the house top. I'm starting to think I would enjoy that mid summer weather right about now. After this whole covid shit show ends, my 5 year mission is to get an apartment or something down in Australia and gear up for the summer to summer lifestyle. Now there is something so erotic about a robe that shows stuff but doesn't, sometimes frustratingly so, waiting for the wearer to bend forward or to the side and get a peek.

I will work it out. No time in hotel rooms or planes to peruse everything for ages so it became a little too shortcut, or discover conversations days after they were raging. Not be too reliant on the subscribed shortcut.

They are pretty friendly on the whole. Sometimes scare you when they suddenly appear on a wave you are catching, but you have to remember then that dolphin tails are up and down, sharks are side to side. Sharks might try nip in across a wave, but are scared to be beached so don't ride on them.

The good ones don't, but the lightweight ones for this end of the world have a tendency to do it if they are that slippery blend of cotton. Buy better robes with more chest room.

Oh definitely, look around and you are likely to catch some one having a shower off the back deck or walking around sans swimsuit. Comes with the territory. Floating motor homes, except they swing around the mooring on the wind and tide so you never know what you are going to look into at times. A sleepy squat and pee off the back of the transom board at dawn and you may be looking neighbours doing the same.
Summer is always good here. A bit of a misnomer as it really goes through into May.
Vote well, there are some interesting people here over a whole year.
