Has anybody watched It's a Sin?.........It's on HBO Max in the US and All4 in the UK.

It was one of the most powerful and moving TV dramas I've ever seen.

Becoming aware of my gay tendencies, as a teenager, at the height of the AIDS crisis in the mid eighties, I could really identify with the subject matter. It evoked such strong emotions that I'd not felt for years. I was literally moved to tears.

For anyone who's ever struggled with shame and fear associated with being a bisexual or gay man this is highly recommended watching.

I caught a little of the first episode. Looked pretty good. Must watch it all.

I had to watch it in short chunks and look up all the spoilers before the last episode.

I'm about 5 years younger than Ritchie and friends, but he's nicked my mum, I've lived with Colin's landlady and seen those GPs and medics and got totally trollied over a weekend before returning to get an HIV result.

The paper leaflets, the phone boxes, the lack of info, and that tombstone advert - it brought it all back.

So much shame and ignorance.

So much is better now. My middle kid has online school atm and they had a tutor period devoted to LGBT History month and queer rights. It's a Sin didn't quite make me cry. Hearing a bunch of 11 year olds being told about how s28 was wrong - that had me crying.

Olly Alexander, the singer from Years And Years is in it. In the trailer there was a brief clip of him dressed as a woman acting seductively, I thought to myself it's worth watching just for that alone.

I binge watched it all. Really enjoyed it. Anyone who was a young adult during that time will relate to it. Different times for sure.

thanks
