It there such a thing as too much sex in a story?

In relation to the idea of chapters of individual fantasies. The premise itself may yield itself to that, but I don't think what I'm writing does. The single fantasy is living all of the others in a day. I think if I were to write each activity out in a way that warranted an individual chapter it would turn into a season of "24".

Of maybe in this case, "60 Minutes."

Answer the question "Is there such a thing as too much sex in life?", and you've got the answer to the O.P.'s question too.

Hmmm... I would have to say no. Yet, in one day, yes.

When people have sex, one or the other may get sore and then it becomes uncomfortable to the point of being so painful that they have to stop.

But if it is spread out over time then the painful aspect doesn't come into play.

Not all people, even in a fictional tale should be super men and women. I know I have had comments about some of the people in some of my stories being studs and sluts, having never ending hard-ons and always wet vaginas.

After that I put in pauses of them resting while they talked or watched TV or some other activity to give them time to recuperate.

and I'm sure they're all very grateful to you for that

The couple is a fictional version of me and my wife, and neither of us possess superhuman sexual abilities. While definitely a fantasy that would stretch our limits, it will be realistically achievable. There will be at least two examples of pushing through overstimulation, but again nothing unrealistic.
