Let's start with the basic dictionary definition, which some loves to quote so much...

Racism - prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.

the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another.

Just a polite advisory that not all progressives buy into the idea that only whites can be racist. I DO consider that a reasonable definition of systemic racism, though.

Nor. do I...racism can and does exists within people(period!). I was brought up by parents and in a community with racist ideas...I had to do work on it and it is an ongoing process that may never end.
I'm open to it and will continue to work on it.

Systemic Racism is not part of every group...it resides in the group that has held or is in power exercising it's dominance over minority groups usually, but not limited to, institutions, communities, governments and organizations (work and non-work).

Blacks can be racist and not racist.

But the Chinese Government is ALL racist - against the Uighars, the Tibetans, foreigners and even for different versions of Chinese within their own country.
