First of all, I'm very much enjoying the forums and I've come across some lovely people in these threads. I joined because, having enjoyed the stories for a number of years, I decided to have a go at writing my own.

I have to say that I was overwhelmed with the response to my stories which resulted in many lovely PMs. Along with those, there were many that requested that I engage with them in erotic chat, something I had no issue with and, at first, I rather enjoyed them and they actually helped with my writing as far as ideas and inspiration were concerned.

But, in the last few days, a lot of messages have become a little seedy and some have been downright creepy. I'd just like to point out that I'm not a 1970s sex line!

With that in mind, I've decided that I will not longer engage in "erotic chat" so, if you message me and I don't reply, please don't take it personally.

I used to get those and would simply delete them. As time went by I got less, but I never engaged with chat or personals where I think the bottom feeders live.

Marta, do you have your account set to “invisible mode”? That seems to be the fastest way to cut down on the mouth-breather PMs. There are many who spam any female sounding username who appears in the list of users currently online. Also, most of us just ignore or delete them when we get them - you’re under zero obligation to reply.

I can see that you’re online now. If you want to change to invisible mode:

1. Click on user cp in the top left of the screen
2. Click edit options
3. Check the box next to “use invisible mode”
4. Scroll down and make sure to save changes

No worries at all. My posts were within minutes of each other and it’s totally up to you. Going invisible does seem to drastically reduce the number of PMs of this nature, although like another person already said, they do still seem to follow sexually explicit posts. It’s like they think “Oh! She likes sex! She’ll want to see my... or hear about my... or fuck me.” Sigh.

Yes, I was beginning to work that out although many of the PMs have started out as feedback from my stories so maybe they think that, because I write explicitly with regards to sex, they think....

It's interesting that, even when I drop not so subtle hints that I'm into women, it doesn't seem to put them off.
