You seriously need to understand your own perspective more. Rush Limbaugh's popularity and singular focus on hating Democrats truly started the trends towards polarization. Your entire argument only fuels that statement the more you keep trying to defend your position. He helped shift our entire culture and gave rise to singular pro-party/anti-party perspectives.

I don't hate parties. Ideologies are harmless without people. Rush's generalizations and oversimplifications taught people how to conflate them without care and certainly without much consideration.

There are few people in recent history that you can point to that started such a massive shift like this... Rush is one of them.

I didn't listen to his show. I never agreed with his method of slinging his brand of politics. I refuse to support his drug abuse and the subsequent dodging of responsibility for it.

The man made a ton of money working the system and wrecking other people's lives while he was at it. In my opinion he was a small minded man with a loud voice who could get other people to listen to him and nod along.
