Rush Limbaugh dead

Typical class from Roar Wee.

If you aren't a woke loon left extremist, he would be just as happy if you were dead too. Don't doubt that for a second.

Good riddance Rush, you misogynistic, racist hatemonger, homophobe and oxygen thief.

If there were an afterlife, you’d spend it burning in a lake of fire.

Someone just tried to hack into my Lit account.

That means this thread has triggered very nicely.

First of all Rush Limbaugh is NOT Dead!!! FAKE NEWS!! The Liberal Media is only saying that to silence him!!!

I can already see the various Dmitri and Busybody usernames starting to come up with posts like that...

But seriously, the guy was an angry blowhard who rarely had anything insightful or relevant to say. I hate to say "Good Riddance" but rather, lets just say he should have retired from public commentary, oh, like, 30 years ago.

Have you seen Mike Pence's tribute to him on Twitter? It's as if he isn't talking about a man who used his platform to demean a 12 year old girl, mock a man because of his Parkinson's disease, his regular segment where he mocked gay people who died of AIDS etc etc

Pence calls all of this the voice of conservatism and making conservatism fun. I'm honestly astonished. THIS is what they want to call the voice of conservatism??? I'm honestly shocked.

His words:
Today America lost a Giant with the passing of Rush Limbaugh, and Karen and I send our most heartfelt sympathies to Kathryn, his brother David, and the millions of Americans who loved and cherished his incomparable voice.

Rush Limbaugh gave voice to the ideals and values that made this country great, he inspired a generation of American conservatives, and he will be deeply missed. Rush Limbaugh made Conservatives proud and he made Conservatism fun.

For more than 30 years no one did more to educate, inform, inspire, and just plain entertain Americans about the issues of the day than Rush Limbaugh.

Karen and I are among the millions who loved and admired this Good and Great Man. We started as fans, had the privilege to become friends, and we will miss him dearly.

During my years in Conservative talk radio, he was my daily inspiration and the gold standard on the airwaves as he sat behind the golden EIB microphone. During my years among House Conservatives in Congress, he was our greatest champion.

And during my service as Governor and Vice President, he was the anchor of Conservatism, giving voice to a movement and fighting for the ideals that make America great.

Rush Limbaugh’s legacy will live on for generations in the hearts of the millions of Americans he inspired. His matchless voice will never be forgotten. May God comfort his family and all those who loved him. God Bless Rush Limbaugh.

i just now realized that pence's wife is named 'karen'. god laughs.

I wasn't a regular listener, but I listened enough to know he was none of the things you heard. You never listened to a whole program. You may have never listened to him at all.
Rush made me laugh, he made me think, but he never pointed a finger of blame at an ethnic group or someone's sexual orientation. He may have mocked the goals of some in those groups, and they deserved to be mocked, be he was not racist or homophobic.

Are you having a laugh?

From another thread:
The man was provocative, a bigot, and hypocritical windbag. Basically, a vile piece of shit, personified.

Looking back at some of the windbag’s most memorable quotes, it’s not difficult to see why the RWCJ crew and MAGA idiots adorned him. His views on women, black people, and the LGBT community were stuff of the stone age

Regarding a Georgetown law student who testified before Congress about the importance of health insurance covering birth control: "What does it say about the college co-ed Susan Fluke who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex — what does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex she can't afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex. What does that make us? We're the pimps. (interruption) The johns? We would be the johns? No! We're not the johns. (interruption) Yeah, that's right. Pimp's not the right word. Okay, so she's not a slut. She's "round heeled". I take it back.”

"Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women access to the mainstream of society."

"Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?"

“Holocaust 90 million Indians? Only four million left? They all have casinos, what's to complain about?"

“If any race of people should not have guilt about slavery, it's Caucasians."

“You know how to stop abortion? Require that each one occur with a gun.“

"When a gay person turns his back on you, it is anything but an insult; it's an invitation."

Lastly, and ironically:

“Too many whites are getting away with drug use...Too many whites are getting away with drug sales...The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them and send them up the river, too.“

On smoking: "That is a myth. That has been disproven at the World Health Organization and the report was suppressed. There is no fatality whatsoever. There's no even major sickness component associated with secondhand smoke. It may irritate you, and you may not like it, but it will not make you sick, and it will not kill you...Firsthand smoke takes 50 years to kill people, if it does. Not everybody that smokes gets cancer. Now, it's true that everybody who smokes dies, but so does everyone who eats carrots ... I would like a medal for smoking cigars, is what I'm saying."

Right wing evangelical Sunday Christians can take some small comfort, in that ol’ Rush is now with his dearest friends and like-minded colleagues past, sharing the load of fire and brimstone. :rose:

I’ve listened to his programs (all the way through) and watched him on TV. I’ve even read a couple of his books.
His hate, racism, and attitudes about women and the gay community were opportunistic and the epitome of bigotry and misogyny. He was the Ugly American with a microphone, and represented the very worst in men, and Americans.

You may have listened to his program, but didn’t hear what he was saying. Or you did, and agree with the ugly, hateful, and divisive rhetoric.

Interesting everyone has bad things to say about this guy. Why was his show the most listened to radio show in the United States?

Market saturation. He only achieved that title after Paul Harvey went off the air.

He gloated when people died of aids, and he ripped on little girls for not being attractive enough. I can't think of anything kind to say...

Simple. Stupid people can't think for themselves so they congregate to a similar spot to feel less stupid. Intelligent people get their information from non-opinion based sources. Why are you not smart enough to figure this out?

This thread is a very telling essay on the tolerance, compassion and inclusion of the Left.

It puts the hypocrisy into the calls for unity after they got a Democrat President.

Unity == Submission

Rush will be missed; with his very presence, he proved just how hateful the Left really is...

He single-handedly rescued and made AM radio relevant again.
It had been reduced to nothing but religious and Spanish-language programming.
He really deserves credit for that.

His show was the counter programming to the Left's takeover of all news and information
across all mediums from radio to television (and movies; how many movies preach at us from the Left?).

He gave the people who make this country work an outlet where they were
put in touch on a daily basis with the forgotten and invisible silent majority
who have been shunned and impugned with increasing impunity since the 70s.
He gave hope to those whose voices were being shut out by the dominance
of the Leftist information/entertainment machine that took over the culture
in an attempt to direct it to a more perfect form of Socialism/Social Justice.

Because of Rush, we have a Fox News and just a little bit of balance in information dissemination.

The man taught so many to hate people based on ideology. I dare you find anything positive Rush said that wasn't surrounded by or contextually presented against liberals.

He is the reason why an entire party has shifted away from principles to a party geared towards "pwning the libs". He oversimplified and generalized every policy position to advance party over country. I couldn't listen to his radio show for longer than 60 mins because of his visceral attitude towards an entire party.

Good riddance, asshole.

And by contrast, Liberals never say negative things about conservatives or hate them,
never before Rush, never during Rush and certainly not now...

You need to look into a mirror.

The Democrat have been a party of hate
ever since 1968.

I know. I was there.

You are incredibly self-unaware as you use hate to blast what you consider hate.

Just two sides of the coin that is the American polity.

I explained why I hated the man and why I'm not sad he's gone. I am not hiding that perspective behind party lines. Very self-aware...thanks.

You just keep deflecting to your hatred of a party to defend a man who (I'm guessing) contributed to that hate...which truly demonstrates my original comment, and somehow I'm the one who's unaware..lol.
